I am not a pro detailer but have been doing a decent job on my cars for over 20 years. This product is by no means professional, but it does a better job than doing it by hand. I searched for decent priced alternatives, and this was the best I found on Amazon. Of course, I wish I had a Dewalt or comparable, but this was in the budget, and it does the job. The batteries lasted plenty of time, and if you are capable of moving each battery I received would do a small car easily. ... show more

This little orbital buffer is pretty solid. Ive been detailing cars for 32 years, and have used many types of buffers, polishers, etc over the years, and this one performs better than most Ive used before. Its compact, feels good in the hand with the rubber overlays on the abs housing, and has a nice big palm grip above the head for great control. The main switch has a protective cover which is nice, and the speed control lands right where your thumb is for on the fly control. Power seems adequate, I couldn't totally bog it down, even when using a paint correcting polish and decent pressure, but it did slow a tad. Rpms range from 2500-5000. The throw, or orbital pattern, doesn't appear to be that big, spec sheet says 8mm which seems maybe a little less than I can see while watching it, I would have guessed more like 12mm or 1/2in. But you shouldn't have any issues damaging paint at all with this. Its nice that the kit is complete, with multiple pads, a quality microfiber towel, and apron even if a pretty cheap one. The storage bag is nice, but again pretty cheap. Haven't tested the run time as I have been paint correcting my suv prior to applying a graphene coating, and have been doing sections one at a time. But one 2.0ah hour battery lasted with no problem doing my whole front clip on a medium suv (hood, front fenders, and front bumper). But have no fear, you have the second battery as back up, so im confident you could do a whole vehicle with maybe one, and for sure the 2 batteries. It did an outstanding job with my favorite paint correction product and the waffle foam pad, and made quick work of it with. The picture speaks for itself. ... show more
