  • Great product - and some tricks for installing it
Color: White
Easily large enough for a 14 ga Romex cable for surface installations as pictured here. Overall an excellent product. For the best looking installation, consider the following: 1) Use a level and square to aid in placing the raceway. If it's not square, you will notice! 2) Work from the middle to the ends. In this case, that meant from the inside 90 where the ceiling meets the wall out towards the fan and down to the floor. 3) Forget the straight splices when joining sections. They add nothing and look terrible. The only one I used here was at the fan housing entrance, as I cut the hole over-large. Instead, 4) Place the covers such that they are installed overlapping over 2 bases. This allows the bases to be aligned and straight to each other. It effectively hides the fact that you are using multiple short pieces, hides any small gaps between bases, and allows you to slide to seat the covers into the flat 90 and inside 90 and precisely cut and fit the middle piece to be installed last. 5) Do all cutting and dry fit the pieces before installing the tape. When installing the tape, place it on the base first, then remove backing for wall-side when placing. This tape will stretch, and even pull back off the base, so when removing the backing gently pull the backing flat against the tape rather than up and away from it to minimize stretching, buckling and other problems. I was very skeptical of this tape, but as you can see it has done well on the ceiling so far and I expect it will be OK over the long term. 6) The instructions say not to use this on textured surfaces, and it's worthwhile to clarify what they mean. It's fine for use on any painted surface, such as a wall or ceiling, even if the sheet rock is textured as most are. What will NOT work is to try and use this on any ceilings that have the sprayed-on texture, often called popcorn or knock-down. If you can dent it with a fingernail, don't try to stick to it. 7) For spray-on textured surfaces you will probably need to use screws for that portion of the run. To screw this down, you could use some straight splices in an unintended fashion. Drill a small hole through the dimple in the center of the splice for a small screw that will fit a "blue star" sheet rock anchor. Then install the splice with the flat side against the surface, and seat the bases into the tabs on each side. Install covers as normal, again ensuring that each cover is across the joint between two bases. 8) For a covered end, or to go over wire coming out of the wall, take an outside 90 and cut it such that one side is flush. 9) This is soft PVC which will deform easily. To cut it I found a hacksaw to be the easiest, using a razor knife to clean any burrs or rough spots after the cut. If available, use a miter box to ensure true 90 degree cuts. Good stuff! I'll use it again. ... show more

  • Good coverage
Color: White
We needed a cable cover for our porch to hide an electric cord. This product does the job & sticks to brick. It looks great & has held up well for over a year. Good adhesion & not bulky.

  • Does the job well
Color: White
It just fits a pretty thick cord on a 20ft extention cord. The pieces are light weight and easy to cut as they are a little flimsy. The adhesive rolls smell a little funny but are extremely strong. I didn't end up using many connectors because I didn't care to spend extra time to map it out perfectly so I ended up with not enough space to add the connectors. Thankfully they didnt seem extremly necessary as they still stay in place just fine without. I bought this because i have a cinderblock basement and my one and only plug was on a single light and i needed to get power access lower and in the middle of the basement wall. This product holds well and hide the cord from my kids. Id recommend ... show more

  • Easy to use but test fit first
Color: White
I used this to cover the cords between lights on my garage ceiling. The channels are easy to cut with scissors. The tape is very strong and once in place does not move. I had one piece that I had to replace and it took longer to get it off the wall without ripping the paper off the sheet rock than it took to install all of it. Take your time and test fit before applying. ... show more

  • Perfect for relatively small wires.
Color: White
I needed to run a 25-foot standard two wire extension cord under the roof of my new patio, but didn't want it to spoil the looks. I bought two boxes of the Delamu Cord Hider and am pleased with the results. NOTE: this particular size is only useful for small wires, like a single CAT 5 cable or a standard extension cord. If you have a heavy cable or big bundle of wires, you might consider a larger size. The included double-sided adhesive tape is VERY robust that works fine even on clean textured surfaces. At a guess, it is some sort of thick silicone with a super-sticky coating, so make sure you get it right the first time. I stuck the run of the Delamu Cord Hider down, slipped in the wire and snapped the covers over the top. Staggering the placement of the covers strengthened the project so I didn't need to use the straight line covers. The curved corner sections were tricky, but worked fine. Note that one reviewer complained that there are no "T" sections. Shrug. Sections are easily cut to size with a saw, but a razor saw or Japanese pull saw are ideal. This is a high-quality, affordable cord cover. Five stars. ... show more

  • A lot of short pieces
Color: White
I ordered it to hide my cables, but when I got it, I was disappointed with the product. The quality maybe was good, but it consisted of many short pieces. For me personally, installing many short pieces takes more time and patience than cutting a long piece to the required size. Also, a line of many connected pieces looks less beautiful than one long strip. Returned it and bought a box of covers in a longer size and cut it to the needed size. The installation took less time and looks much nicer. I do not recommend it unless you want to install many short pieces on your wall to lay a line to cover your cables and cords. ... show more
