  • perfect self for beginning libraries!! wonderfully narrow
Size: 5 tier
Easy to put together, took me 15 minutes to assemble and anchor to the wall by myself. Fits all my books and many trinkets, (even taller books and a jewelry display). The weight of all my books at first made me nervous but the shelves have held up surprisingly well. My floors are not at all level but with some finagling the shelf is stable and serves better than I could have imagined. I love the tone of the bamboo and enjoy the lightweight hardware making it easy to move with from place to place or just around in one space. ... show more

  • Great for Maximizing Space
It works for what it's supposed to do. I can't see this piece of furniture being used long term because it is not the most sturdy but it holds all my books in my room so it does the job I need it to. Don't put super heavy books on it or it will be difficult to move around. Other than that it looks good but now that I have my colorful books on it, it looks kind of ugly to me lol but I like it because it fits between the small space of my dresser and desk so it fits in tight spaces which is really nice. But will probably get a new bookshelf down the road. If you're a college student looking to put all your books on something in a dorm space this is honestly so perfect because it's so convenient because it doesn't taking up a lot of space. It has not broken or anything so I'm happy with it. Also I'm terrible at putting stuff together but this was really easy compared to most of the Ikea stuff I've tried and given up putting together. So if you're bad at assembling stuff this is for you. ... show more

  • Holds lots of books without taking up too much space
My books have been multiplying again, and I was out of room on my bookshelves, so I started the search for additional storage solutions. Problem is that I have limited space for new bookshelves and wasn't sure how to handle this. Then I stumbled on this rotating bookcase. It holds all the books I had piled up waiting for homes, plus I was able to start cleaning up my other bookcases (double rows were causing shelves to bow). Once bookcase was completely full (around 90-100 books total), I was able to easily wheel it across the room to its new "home". It takes up a small footprint, so it wasn't hard to find a corner to place it, and since it wheels easily, I can pull it out to find books without any problems. The description of it being a "rotating" bookcase is slightly misleading. I interpreted that to mean that the bookcase could stay in one place and rotate independently from the wheeled base. That is not the case - it rotates because of the wheels, which is not necessarily a smooth circle in one spot, so make sure you have some room to maneuver if you need to rotate to other sides. Putting it together: All the reviews said that this was simple to put together, and eventually I agreed, but I spent 20 minutes of extreme frustration first. The "instructions" are just one page of diagrams, no actual instructions. As is my routine, I pulled everything out of the box, grabbed the instruction sheet and compared all the parts against it to make sure I had everything I needed. I was pleased to see a screwdriver included - no need to go dig through the junk drawer! So I studied the diagrams until I was fairly confident I knew what was what and I grabbed the first two pieces and corresponding screws, along with that lovely screwdriver that was included. I got that first screw in about halfway, and then it just wouldn't go any further, no matter how hard I tried. Finally I grabbed a second screw and figured I would try that to see if the problem is just the predrilled hole or something else. Again, it started good but couldn't get past halfway point. As my hand began to ache from my efforts and my husband laughed at me, I finally grabbed my phone to check the original listing for pointers. Nothing obvious, until I got to one review that mentioned an Allen wrench. Sure enough, when I dug deeper in the bag of screws, I found that darned little piece of metal that made my life 1000 times better. When I went back to those original screws, they went in like a dream. I had the rest of the thing put together in less time than I had struggled with those first two screws. So it turns out the screwdriver is only needed for attaching the wheels. The Allen wrench is not identified anywhere on the list of included parts, and because it was so well hidden in the bag of screws, I never even considered that I wasn't using the correct tool. Screwdriver was front and center, seemed obvious that it was intended to be used. Maybe I'm just a little dense or was having a bad day - I've put together so many pieces of furniture over the years that I can't even count them all, and I've never had a problem like this. I probably should have known that these screws needed an Allen wrench not Phillips screwdriver (in my defense, this was at 9 p.m. and not good lighting), but it would be so easy for the manufacturer to just include that with the other parts on the instruction sheet and save a ton of time and swearing. ... show more

  • Surprising
I needed a place to store a cookbook collection. Some books are larger and heavy. Others lighter and oblong shaped. It works well. For such a small footprint it holds alot of books. Please note - We are a child free home. It seems stable without an anchor. In fact an anchor would hinder rotating the bookcase. It has small wheels. It is not ladder sturdy for a rambunctious toddler. ... show more

  • Good
Size: 5 tier
Works well behind my closet door. The shelves are not adjustable, but have nice spacing. Was easy to put together. Seems light but strong. Happy with my purchase.

  • It needs bookends. The books fall out when you turn it.
This books don't stay on the shelves when you turn it, or move it (it's on wheels), because it needs bookends. I'd need to buy 16 for just one bookcase, and I bought two. It wasn't easy to build. It should have been sanded better as I got three splinters from building just the first one today. The hex head screws want to strip, so be careful. The instructions are not that clear, and the video didn't help. The shelves have only two holes on each side and it doesn't tell you which way they go. I had to flip my shelf so the holes like up with the uprights. It does hold a lot of books, but I'm going to have to figure something out to work as bookends. ... show more
