Prior face pad that came with my quest cracked and tore. This one was easy to install, fits well, and feels good on the face compared to the previous one.

    • very comfortable, but be aware of the black screen of death
My original face pad is shedding and on the end of its life. This is a drop in replacement for the old interface, so it took about 10 seconds in total to remove the old one and install the new one. I would say there is a tiny bit more light visible around the nose than the old one, but not distracting once the screen is turned on. It is more comfortable than the old one. I highly recommend this with one caveat. Within 5 seconds of tightening the strap, the screen would go black. If I switched out the interface to the old one, everything was fine and then it would go black again once I put the new one back on. Quick search turns out this is called the black screen of death and caused by the proximity sensor not detecting your face. Rather than covering with sensor with tape, I found loosening the head strap a little bit resolved the issue. ... show more

This unique pad is made from ice silk-Lycra fabric which cools with excellent breathability. It has excellent external light canceling properties making sure your experiences are uninterrupted. I find this pad the most comfortable that I have ever experienced, relieving all pressure sensitive areas of my face. It does absorb the sweat from your face, but can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. I can now enjoy many hours playing putt putt golf or fishing which are my favorite games. ... show more

My kiddo has gotten REALLY into VR. We have 2 rigs and she will switch back and forth just to keep playing. She was super excited to get this and loves it. She can't quite take it on and off herself but she's getting there.

I have had others like this one and this one does feel good on the face while wearing it. I assume that is due to the "Lycra Ice Silk" There are vent holes in the frame that the padding is attached to so it does help with the cooling over the OEM frame. The nose pad does block out light and I thought at first the feel of it touching the nose would bother me but it seems soft enough that after a second or two I didn't feel it at all. The mating surface of the face pad frame and the Quest2 glasses adapter is just a little off. (See pic) It holds well enough and doesn't easily come off but it is mismatched enough to allow a small amount of light get through. It isn't enough light to be distracting... while playing games I didn't really notice it, but when it was dark changing from power off to game on, I did notice it. The comfort it adds and at the price point its currently @ ~$20usd I would still recommend it, and would have rated 4.5 stars if I were able. ... show more

I was having issues with my Quest 2 lenses getting foggy when doing exercise games, so I thought I would try this, and it really does prevent the fogging! The vents are positioned in a way that does now allow any reality in, so that's nice! We wouldn't want any of that! The cushions are nice and comfortable and a bit softer and lighter than the originals. It snapped into my Quest 2 exactly like the original and I haven't had any issues with the fit of it at all. This went on our second Quest 2 headset that we use for Beat Saber multiplayer. It's comfortable, first and foremost. While I still sweat a bunch on my face using this headset, my partner no longer does, and so she uses this primarily now. It's simple to add to the headset and easy to install.
