Top Amazon Reviews

  • It's beefy and quiet
Style: I5 12400F | RTX 3060
First I'll start off by saying I just received this computer today, so this is just going to be my initial "first impressions" review, and I may update it later after I've put it through it's paces. The first thing of note is the shipping box is huge, so big, in fact that my postal delivery person wasn't able to deliver it because they didn't have room in their car, so all I got on my scheduled deliver day was a notice to pick it up myself at my local post office the following day. (I live in a rural area, so no Amazon delivery drivers out here and USPS mail carrier uses their own personal car for delivery) All that being said, the reason it's such a large box, besides the case itself being pretty large, is because it was extremely well packed, double boxed, with a layer of packing insulation between the boxes, as well as another layer between the case and inner box, and additional packing inside the case to protect the components. I'll start first with the case, it's BIG, this is a full tower case, it dwarfs my old PC, at least 50% bigger, so if space is an issue, you might want to look elsewhere. A quick measurement has this thing at 20 inches tall by 9 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. It looks to be really well built and sturdy though, Mostly metal construction inside and out, the only plastic I can find is on the front that frames around the front fans and houses the front panel of USB and buttons. The side panel is full tempered glass, which is nice and thick, with a black painted on boarder around the edge and a slightly smoke tented viewing window. The screen on the front is steel mesh, though the screen on the top is plastic and attaches with magnets, it has a steel vented top beneath it with plenty of support with mounting points for 120, 140 and 200 mm fans. There's plenty of air flow on this case while still keeping all the internal parts protected. Also the fans are whisper quiet, it's got twice as many fans as my old PC and it's a world of different how much quieter it is than my old rig. There is a button on the front to control the RGBs on the fans, which are all synced together and offers lots of color combos and transition effects, and if you hold the button in for a few seconds it turns all the fan lights off. Perhaps my one complaint is that nowhere in these options through the button is an option for steady stream always on single color, I'd prefer just a nice solid single color as opposed to the dancing rainbow unicorn options. I still have to play around and see if there is a way you can control these lights though the desktop. Now as to the internal components, It's always a crapshoot on these pre-builts, they might tell you what size SSD or memory is in there, or what type of GPU, but they never mention manufacturers, which can be concerning considering quality and performance just isn't the same across the board. I can tell you what parts were used in mine, but of course these could all change based on availability when Cooler Master is putting these together. The Motherboard in mine was a GIGABYTE B760, so a solid one overall from a reputable manufacturer. The GPU is a Gigabyte 3060 Gaming OC 12g with 3X windforce fans. The Hard drive is a Teamgroup MP33 Pro, and the ram is Teamgroup T-force Delta RGB DDR4 3200. I wasn't previously familiar with Teamgroup, but looking them up on google, they seem to have pretty good overall reviews on their products, so I'm optimistic. I just want to mention, right out of the box, after the initial setup, and all the updates that came with a new PC with a newer operating system, one of the first things I did was run a UserBenchmark test on it, to see how it stacked up, and the results were pretty pleasing, 113 for gaming, 109 for Desktop, and 104 for workstation, so UFO across the board. I should be able to run just about any game I want at 1080p settings and 60 fps, sure it's not 4K levels, but my monitors aren't going to do that anyways. Of course the real reason for choosing this PC over others is going to be the Cooler Master components. It's got a Beefy CM CPU cooler, a CM Gold Power Supply, all CM fans, and a nice big study CM case, and these tend to be areas that other Pre-builds cheep out on with inferior products that don't last as long. My only really negative comment on this PC has nothing to do with this build, but with Windows 11. It's going to be a learning curve for sure. I don't get why every time Microsoft releases a new operating system, they have to mess around with how you interface with it, I get the need for new software with better performance, but really, stop moving my buttons and programs around! Also Bloatware, the description claims there is no bloatware on this Pre-built like what you'd see from other manufacturers like HP or Dell, and I have no doubt that Cooler Master didn't put any bloatware on here themselves, looking though the list of programs on here, there isn't a single Cooler Master program pre-installed, but if you DO like bloatware, don't worry, Microsoft's got you covered. Luckily they're easy enough to uninstall, but if I wanted Tic-Toc or Spotify on my pc, I'm more than capable of installing them myself. Overall, so far I'm very happy with my purchase, even if I'm only a day into having it. Would I have liked to have gotten the model with the 3060 ti, sure, but at the time I purchased this one, it was going for around $900, while the one with the ti was going for $1100, with all the other specs exactly the same, It's hard to justify paying $200 more for the 3060 ti over the 3060 when, just comparing the price of the two graphics cards on their own at the time of purchasing this, there's only about a $50 difference, meaning I'd have paid an extra $150 for nothing at all, and I can use that extra $150 for some more ram and an extra SSD for more game storage. ... show more

  • Before you buy, READ THIS. This case is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.
Style: HAF XB EVO
Words cannot simply express how happy I am with this... this... thing of sheer beauty. If I could give six stars, I would give it 7 out of 5. Cooler Master, you have OUTDONE YOURSELF! This case is by far better than the one I had purchased from another company for $120. Even the box it ships in is perfect! The case is compact enough to fit in a large suitcase, yet spacious enough to fit a water cooling unit and hoses with room to spare. I absolutely love the removable motherboard mount. It made transferring my hardware an absolute joy! Please allow me to list more things I adore about this case: 1. There are TWO removable hot swap docks for memory storage which can accommodate HDD's and SDD's, as well as hidden permanent storage space. 2. There are so many cable tie mounts that cable management is a breeze! 3. Compact yet spacious design. Perfect for travelling 4. INSANE airflow. 5. a space for a giant fan on top for heavy venting 6. Spaces on the bottom for small fans to increase airflow 7. Detachable Power Supply mount. Screw the mount on to the power supply, and screw the mount on to the case. 8. EXTREMELY STURDY! You can really feel the quality. Especially in the expansion port protectors. 9. Carry Handles. Heavy Duty Carry Handles 10. Very linear design for airflow from front to back. And sides have vents as well, allowing better heat dispersion. 11. Included zip ties. Thank you for including zip ties for cable management! My ONLY lament is perhaps include 20 more per unit so people can mount more in the future 12. VERY low price of $90. Final Verdict: This case isn't just the best case for the money. It's the best. Period. You get full ATX capability in a small form factor, and features that usually are only included on a case that is three times the cost. If you are to buy one computer case, BUY THIS ONE. It feels like it can survive a nuclear blast. It doesn't look like an alien's phallic member like most gaming computer cases, but if you do add lights, it will appear to radiate power, rather than just seem like it has LED's. This truly is a Cadillac with the space of a Tahoe, with the value of a Lamborghini, the cooling power of a Bugatti Veyron, but the price of an old Honda Civic. I would buy this case even if it was twice the price. Thank you once again, Cooler Master, for sheer, absolute perfection ... show more
