I didn't pay a ton of attention to the listing, so I didn't realize that it is made of all steel. I waited and it weighs 1 lb 5 oz, so almost a pound and a half. This thing is super heavy duty. I'm not using it on a cooler, but on the side of my drawer at my desk so I can keep beverages off the top of my desk where they are a liability. Works great. Even skinny water bottles do not slide through. I was concerned about that so I tested a 16.9 Oz water bottle and couldn't get it to fall through the bottom at an angle. One improvement would be to add some kind of silicone grips to the bottom support so the bottles aren't slipping around. I'm going to find something to stick on there so it's grippy.
