  • Dimensions are deceiving.
I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because I like the Coolaroo material itself. The description says 10’x12’, however that appears to be relative to slanted legs. The actual cover size is roughly 8’10”x 10’8”. Lastly, the cover is very difficult to stretch over the frame

  • canopy material lasts long time
It's a pain to put together because it is done tube by tube. It doesn't simply fold up. But the material lasts forever. It is not 100% water protective as the material has "holes" in it due to it's tight weave. The canopy material is also hard to pull over the frame. You really have to pull it. Don't be afraid though. It is tough as nails and doesn't want to rip. (is it rip-stop?) Once you get it put together, add weights, or secure it to the ground. If secured to the ground, this thing has lasted me 10 years through heavy sun and battering rains. Best canopy material out there. Freaking amazing stuff. ... show more

  • I replaced an older version that I had for 18 years
I like that the tube frame was powder coated. it looks great and I trust it will last me like the last one did.

  • Coolaroo Isabella gazebo
Frame is together and taped BUT fabric is too small and tight to cover last end cap!!! It’s about 2” to small. I’m wondering if anyone tried to stretch the fabric with hot water. I’ve left it in the sun but not helping. This is a replacement for one from same company that I’ve had for 18 yrs. I hope someone has some thoughts on how to stretch the fabric. ... show more

  • Great Value, Here are some tricks that will help you.
I was able to easily install this by myself, but only because of some tricks I picked up from another reviewer. I discovered a few other things that make it even easier. I used electrical tape to do this because it is easily removed as long as you take it off right away. Step One: Use tape to assemble the long poles that make up the roof. Step Two: Insert the perimeter roof poles into the hubs forming a rectangle. Add Tape to the hubs Step Three: Insert the roof poles that form the peak of the roof. Step Four: Add the upper section of the legs into the hubs, at this point you have the entire frame except the lower part of the legs. Add Tape Step Five: Stretch the fabric of the frame Step Six: Add the lower section of the legs and stretch the fabric to the upper connect point. Step Seven: Go around and stretch the fabric one leg and a time to the second tighter connect point. Step Eight: Screw it down or Stake it. (Note, The included stakes are not great) Step Nine: Remove all the tape (You may have to unlatch the fabric to remove the tape from the hubs, just do one at a time) If you follow those instructions, this can be assembled by one person without much trouble and two people is a piece of cake. The tape holds everything together and makes it a lot easier. Now for the actual review. This is a very nice looking piece that features stretched fabric made of HDPE, the same stuff shade sails are made of. The fabric is stretched tight enough that it does not move or flap in the find. I only gave it four stars because when the wind blows, the entire thing tilts with the wind. It seems to be able to handle the wind well, but the movement doesn't make you feel very comfortable when you are inside. I solved this issue by adding 1/8" galvanized steel guide wires that connect to eye bolts at the top of the lower sections of the legs. My guide wires connect to the deck about a foot away from the leg poles toward the center of the structure and they are adjusted so there is no slack. This makes the structure rock solid but since that hardware didn't come with it, I had to dock a star. I wouldn't recommend this in windy areas unless you intend for it to be temporary. I haven't owned this very long, but I will update the review if anything unexpected happens. I will be happy to post pictures of the added guide wires and a list of parts used to make them if anyone is interested. ... show more

  • Can't find anything out there that will hold up as well!!! Buying my third one cause I love it so much!!!!
I bought this for a covering for our infant area at my school. When you put it together, as others stated, you try to put one side together and the other side starts to fall apart. Not sure why they don't make the pipes fit together with those little metal push buttons. It would make this so much easier. It took four of us to get it together. Then it is held together by the fabric so there is some juggling to get to this point. The set-up is the reason I deducted one star (see update to why I later added fifth star)! This has held up all season without budging in any wind or rain storm. I was actually surprised by it! I watched my sister go through two canopies that she bought at Walmart over the same period of time I've had mine. Hers were destroyed from strong winds the first time, and water pooling in it and collapsing it the second time. Water won't pool on this because it is porous (so not good if you are using it to stay dry). She lives less than 2 miles from my school so it is the same weather we get in both places. I plan on buying a second one and although I dread the assembly, I know it's going to hold up! I'm just hoping they will eventually make it so the poles fit more snuggly together so they don't fall apart during assembly or have the little metal buttons! UPDATE 6/18/16: I am still very happy with this and purchased a second one for my daughter's home where it is on her deck. It comes with the hardware to secure to the deck which is great. I am today, ordering my third one of these. I don't want to chance going with something a little cheaper, only to have it not hold up. My first one is on it's third season and it is still in great shape! Also, to update assembly, I have done this enough times that I can easily put this up with one other person in about 10 minutes. I do tape almost all of the places that connect with masking tape to keep them from coming apart during assembly. This makes it so much easier. I don't even bother to take the tape off cause it blends in with the posts! I must say, that this is much sturdier than expected and although I searched to see if there was one comparable, I just didn't find it. Even pricier ones don't seem as good! I added on a fifth star despite original assembly (I first just gave 4-stars), because I really have become loyal to this one canopy because it has held up so fantastic! ... show more
