These came in handy when I needed a convient way to cool water in my medical device. The cooler holds water and ice but after shoulder surgery, the ice is inconvient. I slide 2 of the frozen blockes into the water and the water gets cold enough to relax the pain. I think they will work well in a lunch box because they are flat.
