Was a great gift for my husband. He likes the handle and has used the cup every day since he got it. Sometimes its much better to have that handle. Since it's summer he makes iced coffee and it stays cold ALL day. I recommend.

My family has been using Contigo cups for years: high quality, good features, excellent price for what you get compared to other brands. And I had never run into any issue with any of the dozens of Contigo products we had purchased over the years, so I was surprised to run into an issue with this travel mug when I first received it: it smelled like metal—like a strong rusty smell when I first received it and even after multiple washings and several weeks of use. I contacted the company via their website to complain , and they immediately sent a replacement after I provided my proof of recent purchase. The replacement was perfect: excellent features as before—kept my iced coffee ice-cold and my hot coffee steaming hot for the full work day, holds plenty of coffee, and did not leak even when shaken vigorously to mix the content. Best of all, no metallic smell. Highly recommended—especially knowing it’s backed by excellent customer service. ... show more

I like the body portion of the cup but the lid is why I can't give this more than 3 stars. Sometimes, somewhat often, the pop top part gets very hard to pop up and I'm not sure why. It almost feels jammed. When this occurs, I know the likeliness of jamming my finger is high. It doesn't happen all the times so I don't get it. Also, when fully screwed in, the spout faces weird angles. If you look at my pictures, it's either too close to the handle or just at a weird angle. It would be perfect if it was closer to 90 degrees from the handle. One thing I really do like is how easy it is to clean the cap. Many other travel cups or tumblers have complex caps or sliding pieces that trap gunk. This contigo one has minimal areas like that. Also, because most of the bottom is exposed and it's not a complex contraption, I feel comfortable tossing it into the dish washer. The cup fits in my cup holders without issue and the handle feels solid. The price was also very good compared to other travel cups. Side note, if this thing is laying on its side, the mouth part can and will be touching the surface. I realized this when I dropped my cup onto my carpet and then had to wash the cap because of this. I didn't take any stars away since this is noticable in their pictures. Another side note, the cup had a warning to not use other Contigo caps with this cup. Not sure what to make of this warning because I have other Contigo cups of a different model that have caps that look very similar. Probably true with most cups, this lid was able to be "aimed" in different directions making it easy for a left hand person to use. Nice neutral color. Easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. No leaking. Ergonomic design.
