For years I held onto a number of favourite sweaters, from wool knits to cotton fleece, that had pilled and I stopped wearing. The Conair shaver and lint remover has made them good as new after using it to remove the small balls of lint that had accumulated on the surface of the sweaters. It’s very easy to use and effective and highly recommended - does a much better job than some of the manual tools I’ve used in the past. The only drawback is that batteries go flat faster than I had thought they would. Most items start to pill and build up balls of lint on the surface from wear. This lint shaver is easy to use, and it works on a variety of garments. It has 3 different setting which make it easy to adjust for closeness on lint removal on types of fabrics. Only downside is that it's not easy to clean out lint. Even though it has a removable lint receptacle which can be easily emptied, a lot of the lint traps in upper part which takes time to fish out, but not a reason to not buy. Bought this not really considering longevity just want to clean these annoying pills of my bed quilt once in a while and the pills that build up on some leggings and pants. That was APRIL OF 2022. (Now 7/2024) Two years later this baby is still going strong for the same two tasks— this god forsaken Tjmaxx quilt and my leggings :). It’s gotten “clogged” a few times but the entire thing disassembles so you can get everything out of it. TIPS: make sure you select the right length, the guard changes for different lengths, if you’re dealing with pills that have longer strings, def use a longer-length setting. Second, pick away any hairs in the way of the tool bc they tend to build up and you can hear the motor die out. (Hence why I had to clean it).
