    • For the price, it provides good protection... but has 2 some what serious flaws.
It fits well and has a nice shape and feel overall. The hinge protection works very smoothly and gives your fingers something to grip when the phone is unfolded, so you can actually use your thumb to swipe around while holding it one handed. The most important thing is that I feel like the phone is pretty well protected from damage, and I actually feel like i can use my phone while out and about even though I don't have the protection plan. The flaws are with the built in screen protector and/or the left edge of the case around the cover screen... the combination of the case slightly encroaching on the screens edge and the lower quality screen protector (uses a polymer with almost invisible conductive "rods" spread out in a grid, both of these factors contribute to lower optical quality and worse touch sensitivity... the higher quality types use a conductive glass that is perfectly clear and is more touch sensitive. For the majority of the screen, away from the left edge, this polymer type is not distractingly bad.. although I think it does take away from the $2k phone experience).. makes it so that extreme left edge of the screen is unresponsive... so pressing "1","Q","A","Shift", and the symbols button on the keyboard requires you to press down fairly hard.. hard enough that it makes typing on the cover screen in portrait mode actually fairly difficult and annoying. The 2nd flaw would not be a flaw if they did not advertise the case as having magnets embedded... but the case does not work with any normal magnetic mount for cars. The magnets are extremely weak with the PU texture model that I got, although that may be due to the magnetic ring being larger than the usual "magsafe" ring size. I checked by dangling a little ferrous chain over the back cover, and the ring of magnets seems to span the entire width of the cover... so normal sized magnetic phone mounts will only be able to make contact with about 1/5th of the cases embedded magnets.     • Magnetic ring in wrong location - can't wirelessly charge on a Magsafe charger
This review is for two Libeagle cases. The first review is for the case with the carbon fiber texture on the back. I actually love the look and feel of this case. The carbon fiber on the back looks great and hides fingerprints. The hinge protection on the side has perfect grip and perfect thickness to make it easier to hold this phone in both the closed and open positions (and also hides fingerprints). It also feels sturdy and should provide good protection from dropping the phone. However, I am only giving this 1 star? Why... well, they put the embedded magnetic ring in the wrong location. It is way too low on the phone and does not align with the wireless charging coil inside the phone. Therefore, when it snaps to a Magsafe wireless charger, it snaps in the wrong location and the phone won't charge. Other Magsafe accessories like a Magsafe wallet or a Magsafe popsocket will still work. But the #1 reason Magsafe was invented was too properly align the charger with the wireless charging coil inside the phone. When properly aligned, the charging rate doubles. If off by just a little bit, the charging rate drops drastically. The case with the carbon fiber on the back has the magnetic alignment ring so far off that the phone won't even charge at all when snapped to a Magsafe wireless charger. I'm not sure why they messed this up because they got it right on their smooth case. I liked the look and feel of the carbon fiber case better and I liked the slightly bigger hinge cover (made it easier to hold the phone). So I hated to send it back, but if it won't charge, it is not Magsafe compliant as claimed and won't work for me. I sent it back. The second case I am reviewing is for the smooth Libeagle design. I am giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, they don't have a way of separating these two different cases out with different reviews for each so they are stuck with the 1 star showing till they fix this. On this case with the smooth back they got the magnetic ring in the correct location (or at least pretty close). This one correctly aligns the charging coil inside the phone with the a Magsafe wireless charger and the phone does indeed charge. The case seems sturdy and should provide good drop protection. I also like the built in screen saver which makes the thin raised ring around the front of the phone hold together, unlike other cases by other manufacturers. I only gave it 4 stars because the smooth case is a fingerprint magnet. Also, the hinge cover isn't as thick as the one for their carbon fiber case. The thicker hinge cover makes it easier to hold the phone when open. The carbon fiber case has a better texture on the hinge cover as well which hides fingerprints and provides some grip which makes it easier to hold the phone when open. And last, the cutouts for the speakers/mic on this smooth case are off a little bit. They seem to have fixed that on the carbon fiber case. Overall, I kept the Libeagle case with the smooth surface (and am just living with all the fingerprints). If Libeagle would combine the good design points from the smooth case with the good design points from the carbon fiber case, they would have a 5 star rated case. ... show more

So I tried to make this right, ordered, I was really excited because it fit tight and I thought great..went to work, back door that holds pen swings while your holding it.. I thought, the 3 little magnets are just placed too deep in, so I've never returned anything before ever .. but it just kept swinging... So you sent replacement, I sent old one back to you .. the new one fits tight, looks good.. and then the holder for the pen is wide.. so pen is kinda loose.. I can't even close the door.. swings.. I removed pen and it stayed closed..so it has to do with the pen, pen holder tabs...and you can hear the pen move around 🤨🤦I'm going to keep it..but not put the pen in it so it stays closed ..It isn't worth me going back out to send it back to you again. ... show more

    • Case is fine,except Magsafe wireless charging doesn't work
Case is well designed. In fact, the hinge cover sits very firmly. My main issue is that the Magsafe ring is not positioned in the right location, (it should be almost exactly in the center of the case). Because of that manufacturing defect, the case does not stick to my Magsafe charger in the right location, and the phone will not charge. You can plug it in to charge it with a wire, but that defeats the purpose of buying a magsafe case. If you are not interested in Magsafe wireless charging, this case is among the better ones out there. ... show more
