I read in other reviews that the material is thin. This is true, but I think it is necessary so it does not interfere with the functions. The access to the turn-on and volume buttons is not the best, but so far I don't have any problems with the controls. It fits well the console and the dock. There is no problem with charging in the dock, just make sure the case is well placed. Overall, I would not recommend it for heavy-duty, but the way I plan to use it, I think it will be fine. I'm very meticulous about taking care of electronics, and this cover set is pretty good. Lightweight, thin enough to fit in the dock, and slips on and off easily. The joystick nubs also fit well and allow a good grip. My only complaint is that detaching the joycons is a bit more difficult, with the covers on. It's harder to press the buttons hard enough to unlock them to slide out. The main cover also has to come off to use the Switch in tabletop mode, but creating a perfect cover for that is impossible. I have purchased this for my zelda edition Switch OLED and I gotta say, it was really good! It’s cool because it can protect the switch from scratching easily. Only thing I had to get used to was, I couldn’t use the switch stand itself. It fit easily on the switch dock, and joycons still worked very well. The joycon cases did feel a little clicky, but I think that’s due to the way I put it in at first. I ordered multiple screen protectors so I forget if I used the one from this or another brand, but I still have the screen protector on and it’s still great. No scratches that I see. This item is piece of trash, almost broke my joycons when we wnated to connect to the controller. We had to pry them off because the picture instructions were useless and did not work as easily as described. The actual material is also flimsy and will not protect your nintendo switch. It certainly fits as expected, but it doesn't feel as if it will protect the device. It may say "9 FT military grade drop protection" but does that mean that the cover won't shatter or that it will actually protect the console? Something tells me that its the plastic itself and the Switch would still be damaged as it doesn't seem like it has any shock-resistance. The joycon covers are fine I suppose. If you primarily use it as a handheld, its fine. If you like to use the dock and the joycon controller attachment, then you'll end up just leaving them off as it doesn't fit. The Switch will still fit into the base, but only after its been seated in a number of times to "work" the material. You might find that it doesn't dock correctly when first doing this. Probably fine for preventing scratches and continuous on-the-go use, but otherwise its certainly questionable in terms of actual protection. ... show more
