  • Exactly what we were looking for
Size: Queen Style: 14 Inch
This was intended for a queen guest bed in my office with the dual function of making visiting couples comfortable, and also being able to randomly wrestle with my 2 and 5 year-olds on the bed. So far it looks like we found the perfect solution. The rounded corners are great, the absence of a middle bar along the sides is very thoughtful, and overall we're very happy with the purchase. To address some of the other reviews: * Noise: This thing is silent. Of course we tightened it down nice, but I can jump and roll around on this thing without nary a peep. * Slat distance: Some people were concerned about mattress sag between the slats. There is a middle bar and the slat distance from that is about 5", but it is true that the other slats are about 7" apart. I guess it would depend on the mattress, but we got a nice Costco Sealy mattress and there is absolutely no sag. In fact, the steel flexes a little with the kids jumping around, which is more pronounced than any sag. * Max weight: I seriously doubt this thing could hold 4,000 lbs. Putting it together I would guess something more like 3,700 lbs. So that's a bit disappointing. * Bed shifting: We wanted the lowest profile possible since my office is pretty small, so this was perfect for us, it doesn't jut out at all or take us extra space. I will say that the mattress could shift, but we have it in a corner so we're not concerned, and also it's nice to know you can put the frame some place and it's not going to move or bend the support bars underneath (there are three single support legs down the middle. * Welds: Someone complained about the workmanship and welding. Psshhh. This things is built solid, feels solid, and the welds look great. Overall very happy with this purchase and it looks very well made and sturdy. ... show more

  • Less under-bed storage despite genius leg placement
Size: California King Style: 14 Inch
The legs on this one are in great places... My room is barely big enough for the Cal King, so design matters when it comes to accidental damage to my feet, LOL. The bolts were also mis-labeled (some weren't labeled at all) and I had to reverse-engineer which ones went where, but there aren't that many, so that only set me back like half an hour... Par for the course with budget furniture in a box, but I wish it wasn't. But I didn't pay enough attention to the height of the outer beams (why do they need to be 3.14 inches high?!), and now the stuff I'd been storing under my bed previously doesn't fit, and this one doesn't come in 16". Back to the drawing board, I guess... ... show more

  • Storage space!
Size: Queen Style: 18 Inch
Very sturdy, solid and easy to assemble. Not a sound out of the frame thus far. The way some of the slats sit aren't perfect but I can't tell unless looking for it. Very nice & strong bed frame with a very helpful amount of space beneath!

  • Squeaks... Doubtful about weight limit claim (Twin XL)
Size: Twin XL Style: 18 Inch
I got the Twin XL 18" bed frame. I chose this frame because it was the tallest, most basic style I could find with a very high weight limit (advertised to be 3000 lbs), and it only has four legs. My room is ultra tiny with an odd layout, so I needed a slim design and to be able to maximize the storage space under the bed. I've had this bed frame for maybe a week now. The storage space is great. I can easily slide 4 footlockers underneath, along with a row of shoes, and hide everything with a bedskirt. However, the bed squeaks. I'm 125 lbs, and I've only been using my bed for resting and sleeping. I currently have the bed up against a wall in the corner of my room. I haven't tried anything crazy to see if it will wobble or squeak any more than it already does when I climb in/out of bed or move around at night. (I was using a really old, weak bed frame before this one and it broke while I was laying on it. I injured my back and shoulder. I'm still recovering, so I'm not trying to take any crazy risks just to test this product's quality.) I've checked the bed frame several times now. I even had someone else look it over. All bolts are tight. All slats are secured. (Speaking of slats, most of them are spaced pretty far apart - approximately 7 inches. I have a new mattress so it doesn't cause me issues now, but I worry it might wear out my mattress quicker than normal. I can feel the mattress slightly buldge between the widely spaced slats when I'm laying on the bed. If I decide to keep this bed frame, I most definitely will be adding more slats.) I want to move this bed so that it's not up against my wall, but I just don't trust it. My mattress and bedding weigh no more than 60 lbs all together. If the frame is squeaking from that and a 125 lb person carefully climbing into bed or shifting positions, I highly doubt it can handle the 3000 lbs advertised. (Perhaps I missed something and the 3000 lbs weight limit was intended for the larger bed frames. Still, I'm doubtful this bed could handle 350 lbs on a regular basis for a whole year before becoming a wobbly mess.) I feel like I may have just received a bad frame because most of the reviews seem to be positive. I'm highly considering returning this bed frame even though it's going to be a huge hassle. I'm very disappointed in this purchase. I really had high hopes for this product, but it just doesn't seem sturdy. The squeaking is annoying, and I wish I could pin point where it was coming from. I cannot sincerely recommend that anyone purchase this bed frame without first cautioning them that they may get a dud like I did. If you are willing to take the risk of getting this bed frame, just hold on to the shipping box and all the little baggies for the hardware for a little while... at least until you figure out if you got a sturdy frame or not. *Seriously, though... I have strong doubts about the weight limit claims. I personally don't need my bed to hold 3000 lbs. But once you've had a bed that was rated to hold 350 lbs collapse and cause you injury, you really want something rated at least twice as strong. And then you have to consider other activities, people, pets, items, etc that your bed may endure and how often. Knowing your bed's weight limit is important for safety. I really don't trust the advertised claims on this frame. ... show more

  • Can fit twin mattress under the Twin XL frame
Size: Twin XL Style: 14 Inch
I got this frame so I could make a trundle style set up without the trundle frame. The twin xl size frame works perfectly for fitting a regular twin size mattress underneath. I got the 14inch high one and can fit a 10inch mattress perfectly underneath in which i just push/pull/slide the mattress in and out. It is directly on carpet so this method works for me to have without a trundle but I think a trundle frame and mattress could fit if the height and width of the trundle frame and thickness of mattress are considered. This will only work if you have the twin xl frame so that the underneath is wide enough for a regular twin mattress. That being said, there is about 5 inches of the frame that is not covered by the mattress on top since it is a twin mattress on a twin xl frame. I just used pillows to make sort of a pillow head board to fill the gap between the mattress and wall and it works fine. The frame itself is very sturdy and very easy to assemble (only took me about 25 min). The rounded corners are also great, especially for a kid's room. Kids have been jumping on it.. no wobbling, no squeaking. Very solid. ... show more

  • Great bed for teen with not so gentle friends over
Size: Full Style: 14 Inch
Very easy to assemble. My 14 year old put this together. It’s solid and holding up really well. We are going to get one more in twin for the extra twin mattress we have too. Does not move around or wobble.
