  • I love this jacket
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: 3X
The jacket was perfect for my trip to Scotland and Ireland. We had A LOT of rain and wind in Scotland. This jacket kept me warm and dry. It breaks the wind as well. The cuffs can be made tighter with Velcro closures the belt around the waist is perfect. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. The hood covers the head very well and can be pulled tight. It’s very lightweight and can be folded or rolled into small spaces. Very light to carry. I carried over my purse when I didn’t want to wear it, while touring. I used it as my outer layer over another coat. This is the perfect rain jacket. It covers your butt too so it doesn’t get wet. I wore it while visiting Culloden Battlefield. It was pouring and windy. I stayed warm and dry, at least my upper half did. I kept telling everyone how much I loved this jacket. I will use a lot I’m sure. It looked really good on too. You won’t be sorry with this purchase. I normally wear 2x. I bought a 3x to go over my coat for layering. ... show more

  • My Favorite Jacket
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: 3X
I’ve purchased this jacket a couple of times, it’s just my favorite. It’s comfortable and lightweight. Buy a size up so you can wear sweaters or layers under it. It’s great for every season, but I can’t wear it on breezy days (>15MPH) with temperatures under 47°F, I tried, but my bones say no lol. The colors are beautiful and stays in the wash, does not fade. Zipper all the way to neck, drawstring hood, warm with layers, great quality, smooth lining doesn’t cling to clothes, ... show more

  • Attractive, lightweight, comfortable.
Color: Black Size: Small
Update: I bought a second Pardon My Trench in nocturnal blue and I’m so glad I did. It turns out, the color is stellar, versatile, far better than in its listing photos. Yes, the color is dark, but it is definitely not jet black nor blue black. It’s a vibrant, classy, dark navy blue. The nocturnal blue works as a perfect foil to most of my wardrobe items that do not look great when paired with black. On myself, sort of petite, 5’3”, this second jacket looks good with jeans, particularly dark navy jeans. The cut, cloth, and details of this second jacket are just as good as the first jacket I bought, in black. On that first jacket, I immediately loved that the Columbia logo is well-placed, in white, and not huge. Turns out it’s ditto for the logo’s details on the blue jacket. In fact the logo’s presence lends, doesn’t distract from the jacket’s look, and, like with the black jacket, its styling doesn’t inhibit the jacket’s versatility. Buying a second raincoat was sort of a splurge, and at first, I hesitated to push the button to buy it. But now I’m thinking… splurge, not really! LOL, in two years I’d have probably worn out the first jacket. Now, the likelihood is that I’ll being shopping for a new raincoat, not in two, but four years. I like these jackets that much… ———— I had hesitations about buying this black jacket as in the past as I’ve found Columbia outerwear is sometimes overbuilt and sometimes under built. What is that about? I’ve noticed that frequently Columbia chooses to highlight design features that are just plain distracting to the attractiveness of the garment. And otherwise, often enough, their clothings’ seam details, fabric quality, garment fit, and sizing are just a bit off. Well, no problems with any of that with Columbia’s Pardon My Trench. Detailing and sizing is well done, as should be expected for the price. And design features are nicely, quietly highlighted. About fit, for me anyway, it is as expected and also, is flattering. While I’m now retired and don’t travel as much as I once did, I’m pretty sure this coat will vamp nicely from casual to business wear in most regions of the US. ... show more

  • Nice rain jacket but the belt needs to be less stiff.
Color: Black Size: Large
This is a very nice rainjacket. It is light and flatering. However, the belt is very stiff and sticks up when you fold it. That design feature could have been improved. Other than that, the raincoat is nice.

  • The first flattering raincoat I've ever seen, runs small though
Color: Black Size: X-Large
This coat looks cute. It's very flattering on me (big tummy hips and butt) and looks a lot more stylish than any other. It's still a bit "swishy" sounding but not as loud or high pitched of a swish like others. I also love the hood, it's not too big and doesn't obscure my peripheral vision at all. It runs small; I normally wear a Large but after reading reviews I got an XL and I'm glad I did. It's not lined or insulated so I wanted to have room to wear it over other coats/sweaters. My only real complaint is the PRICE. My god. It is such a thin piece of material, no warm lining at all. It's basically a really fancy and stylish Niagara Falls poncho, and should not cost $60-100 at all! Glad I had a gift card! ... show more

  • I love this jacket.
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: 3X
I bought a 3xl originally because I was worried it ran small. Huge mistake - I could fit a small child in there with me. So exchanged to my usual size of 2XL (18-20) and still enough room to wear a sweater underneath. Really comfortable, rain resistant, and the double zipper is super useful so I can sit comfortably in the car to drive. Love that I can just roll it up and stuff it in a small pouch. ... show more

  • GREAT jacket for rain and travel
Color: Dark Nocturnal Size: XX-Large
I was very, very pleased with this jacket for my fall European trip. I pack carry on only so being packable was very important to me, but I also wanted it to fit well, as a plus sized woman, be warm enough, and keep me dry if it rained. WOW! It checked off all of the boxes. There were two days of downpour, I stayed totally dry. There were also several chilly evenings, and paired with a heavy sweater, it was great. It was also light enough to wear on trains or planes without overheating me. I also purchased several variations of this (different brands) and this was the one I kept. Worth the extra $ ... show more
