I tried these XCleen Color Absorber laundry sheets as the price of Shout Color Sheets sky rocketed in price and these are AMAZING!! You only need 1-2 sheets per load depending on how big your load is and how many new garments. I also still sort my laundry because there is no sheet that will stop the dingy look that your whites will get from colors over time, sorting along with these color sheets are wonderful, my whites stay bright white, and the dye from new clothes gets collected by these sheets. Inwas woried at first because these were diffrent material compared to the name brand color catchers. But so far they work great and I feel absorb better then the name brand.

    • I use these when washing fabric for quilts. They are essential when using dark fabrics. Love them!

I sew a lot of smaller quilts for childern. As a lot of the fabric I use was donated, it must be washed before using. I have found that the colors bleed on reds, darker fabrics, and any Batik. These color grabbers absorb the dyes from the water where the dyes do not affect the other fabrics in the wash. I had used a name brand but found them very expensive with the amount of fabric I was washing. I am very happy with the results I have seen with these. The sheets have obviously absorbed dyes and the other fabrics do not have stains from the other fabrics on them. Very happy with this product and the value for the money. ... show more

For the price, I thought I’d give them a try. I am now on my second box! The fabric is more like the Carbona product than Shout Color Catch. They work great and are good quality. I don’t have the change the amount of sheets I use as compared to the name brands.

I admit that I was skeptical about whether these would work, but I've used these for my last few loads of laundry and am a convert. They work just as well as the name brand and for a better price. Whether you'll need one sheet or two depends on what you're washing. One sheet does the job for the kinds of things I'm washing, but certain materials would require using two. But even if I did need two sheets per load, a box would last me a good long time, so I think the cost is fair. The sheets don't have much of a smell at all out of the box, and more importantly they don't impart any to my laundry. Although I try to remove them from the washer, now and then one ends up in the dryer. But that hasn't been a problem. The sheet comes out a little rumpled but intact (so there are no bits of lint or anything to pick out), and it doesn't hurt my laundry at all. I tried the brand name sheets as well and found them to be identical in every way, except for the cost. Granted, the brand name ones aren't that much more expensive (or at least the prices were closer when I last bought them), but times being what they are, I'm happy to save money where I can. ... show more
