Its not perfect but it may be the best electric dual grinder out there. This unit is attractive, and has yet to fail to operate. It's used pretty much every day, so there's a reasonable track record. Two things; I had a similar unit some time ago (don't recall the brand) and I really miss the light on the bottom. Also, I am a fan of coarse grinds of both salt and pepper. If you are like minded this may not be the grinder for you. Try as I might I cannot get this to grind anything but fine. ... show more

Pros: Looks nice, fits in hand nicely, easy to fill, adjustable grinds are truly adjustable. Really like how well it grinds pepper and salt. Value for the price = very good! Cons: No light and no 'cap' to catch last little bits of seasoning after grinding. Not a biggie. I'd rather have a grinder that works well that those features. I keep mine on a small bamboo cutting board and wipe it off now and then. I like it but had to change out the batteries right away. Hoping these batteries are a better quality and will last longer. We live on the coast and our salt will clump with the humidity, but the grinder allows us not to have to deal with the clumping.

I've gone through a number of electronic mills and a number of manual ones. This one is just amazing. It's easy to fill and works well. It replaces a salt and pepper mill with a single, compact style which fits on a small table. It doesn't spray out large amounts of pepper or salt and doesn't dribble out either. Just a little slow for my taste, but it's battery powered. What do you expect? It does use a lot of batteries for a simple device.
