I bought 2 masks: one for me and one for my daughter. My daughter was dealing with flares from an autoimmune problem. She had to sit in front of a fan to keep her face cooled. When I got this for her, she was so excited because she could walk around and be productive in the house and not just be glued to the fan. I purchased one just to reduce any swelling in my face (for purely cosmetic reasons.) It is soft on one side so that it's not harsh on the skin. Honestly, I haven't tried the other side with just the beads. The coolness wanes after about 15 minutes but you're not supposed to keep it on for longer than that anyway. overall gets the job done. good for the price, however the fuzzy side doesn't get super cold so I put the gel side on my face. also it looks a little scary so if you have roommates or a family they might judge

It was nice to finally have a diagnosis as to why just ONE of my ears has been flushing/burning occasionally for so many years. It has been getting worse (no thanks to the stress induced bouts). While quitting my job would seem to reduce this, I would then have the stress of finding a job… I don’t really get embarrassed. I don’t really get angry (I get even) But my rosacea makes my face burn. Not like a campfire. Like an incendiary device. With gasoline. Left unchecked by the fire department. It doesn’t work to just dunk it in cold water - I need ongoing cool/cold. While I could use a snorkel, it isn’t very practical. The two sides- both direct and fabric lined make it adjustable. Obviously, the face shape makes it perfect to put on my face and keep that skin covered to help slowly bring the temperature down and decrease blood flow. The adjustable Velcro keep in in place, and provide adjustment regardless of what my hair is doing that day. It also has the benefit of scaring my children away which also helps to reduce stress. I freeze it during the day and go to sleep with it with my fan blowing and it feels amazing especially since I have no AC. Highly recommend if you’re in the same situation as me. I think it’s important to say *its reversible* Lots of reviews said something about having it on backwards, but it’s more evident when it’s hot.. one side is way hotter, and you may not want that. When it’s cold, if you want colder, you can flip it. I’m glad it’s 2 sided so I can choose.
