My 1st time trying gel-x nails. I picked this brand bc I watched several reviews on yt. They are thick at the free edge and thin at the cuticle which allows for a seamless application. I rubbed some acetone at the cuticle and it helped seal the tips to it. Also, I used the glue and primer that is sold separately followed by rubber and then gel polish. So these nails work great for me. I have short and small nail beds and the xs works great and still gives a little length but I did my 12 year old daughters nails with these and as you can see her nail beds were just a little too large for these nails. They are thick so with just polish they look pretty thick. I personally like thick nails and think they look like salon nails. I like that they are pre etched and seem to stick very well and are very sturdy. Good bang for your buck! Also, they are plastic, and I also like that because I have a gel allergy. ... show more

I struggled at first with gel glue but of course here comes BArtbox nails to the rescue. This method is simplistic just one dab on the press on nail then press and hold for 60 seconds under UV LIGHT and BAM got you a full set in the convenience of your home. I am a licensed nail tech, and I have TINY FLAT nail plates, so finding tips that fit well and are durable can be a struggle. I’m pretty happy with these. I wouldn’t really call these extra short (see provided photo) but they are pretty and they have been durable during the 10 days I’ve had them on, save for my index finger on my dominant hand. I do nails for a living & constantly have my hands in acetone so I’m not docking points for that! The only complaint I have is that they are not short enough for my baby fingers. I know, I can file them down, but the point of getting XS was so that I didn’t have to. Other than that, I like these tips! They come pre-etched so you don’t need to fiddle with that, they are very easy to size to the nail plate, and I did not use the smallest nail provided which is new for me. Love the different sizes (0-15)! I’ve had no issues with polish chipping off of the top although I DID use a buffing block to etch the surface like I do with any gel-x set. I wish they were shorter because I would buy them again!! I haven’t removed them yet but, to be fair, I don’t use e-files on myself or my clients and I always struggle to hand file gel-x down. These press ons saved my nails! I had severe peeling from health issues and rubberized base coats. My nails were peeling for over 2 years. In just 2 months of wearing these press-ons, using the same brand's adhesive tabs, the peeling has completely grown out. They're very easy to paint. I got a stand to paint them on, I let them dry for a day, and then I apply them. I've had no issues with chipping, and that's even with oiling my cuticles several times a day. The media could not be loaded. I like the size of these nails although, I keep running into the same issue when I leave them too long and don’t cut them short where the fake nail will start breaking down the middle of my nail. I do gel x nails at home and use the Mia secret gel nail glue. They seem to stay on pretty decently but my issue is that the nail itself decides it want to split down the middle (pictures attached to explain) I’m trying to find more sturdier nails instead of these so they will last longer. I am fairly new to doing my own nails and the first “short” length in another brand that I originally bought made me feel like I had claws. I ordered three brands of XS to see if I could find a better option for me. These XS are just right in my opinion - the other two that I bought barely even came to my fingertips, but these are just a tiny extra tip above my finger (enough to feel fancy) but not so long that I can’t text or open envelopes. I’ve been cleaning the house for two days to have guests (without gloves) and I haven’t lost one yet- the matte seems to keep them on well and I didn’t scuff up the inside extra before I applied. They do have wee tabs at the tip where they are attached when they arrive, but it took one second to file that smooth. In other brands I seem to have too-wide thumbnail beds but I didn’t even use the biggest one that was sent with these (and there were a ton of much smaller than I needed as well).
