This machine is versatile since it can be used to make coffee or tea. The selections are also set up for hot or iced. My primary reason for getting product was to make iced tea. I did need to do some math to figure out how many ounces I needed of water and ice to fit inside my 16 oz stainless steel container since I wanted to use a prepackaged single serve tea bag. I finally settled on the formula of 1 tea bag with 1 C of water poured into the machine and less than1 cup of water in my container. I put this in the fridge to cool. I started off putting a cup of ice in the container, but it still needed to be put in the fridge to cool. After the tea bag cooled down, I would squeeze the extra tea "juice" into the cup. I could not drink the tea immediately after brewing because it was very hot. When I drink it later, I add reusable ice cubes so the tea will be really cold. So now, I have started making the tea either in the evening so it will be ready for the next day or in the morning to drink later. The process of brewing is very fast, and I have not had any kind of mess to clean up. The machine does not take up much counter space (4" X 9"), so I am letting it sit on the counter until the temperatures outside start getting cold. When I am done brewing tea, I just slide the machine back under the overhead cabinet and out of the way. I live alone, so this machine is perfect for a single person. ... show more

I needed a coffee maker that was small as i have coffee occasionally. This is a great 3 in 1 for coffee, tea hot or cold. Lightweight and easy to use. Self cleaning and great quality. The only issue I have is the drip tray is not adjustable so there is a lot of splatter when in use. I also think the brew could be hotter. 6-29-24 5 stars This is lightweight at around 2-1/2 lbs, making it a great choice for an RV. I ordered the specifically to make tea or iced tea, using my own loose leaf, tea bags or pods. And it does a great job at that all while being pretty quiet, especially when compared to my Keurig. Something I figured out is that this will steep and run as long as there's water in the reservoir. So for instance when I want to make a gallon of iced tea I add the appropriate amount of tea in the basket and then just add water when the level is almost empty and while it's still steeping and of course change out the cup underneath as I go, then just mix all the cups together in my gallon jug. I also run the machine on "Strong" which seems to be intended for coffee but works for tea also. This is great for when I have company and don't have the time needed to make suntea. Honestly I don't know why it has a button for over ice or iced tea since the water is heated either way, but maybe not as hot, so it doesn't melt as much of your ice. It doesn't seem to make a difference, at least to me. Either way you want to have your cup filled to the rim with ice on both settings. It will melt the ice, until 2/3 to 1/4 remaining in your cup. It's handy whether you're making a single cup or a gallon of tea and I don't have to worry about over boiling and drying out a kettle on the stove. I'm normally a cold brew person but every once in a while I get a hankering for hot fresh coffee but being single why brew a whole pot? This gadget is worth the small bit of counter space it takes up; measuring about 9"D x 4"W x 12"H. It's easy to set up - give cups a wash & wipe down your machine to remove any factory funkiness. There is even a small recipe book with things to try. There is a window on the water tank to see exactly how much is in there (6oz-16oz). It has a drip tray in case of overflow. The drip tray can also be removed to allow a taller cup under the spigot. After about 300 uses the machine will flash the descale button to let you know it needs cleaned. Unfortunately the descaling solution is not included. I would have expected at least a small bottle to be included for this price point. I love that I can use it to make tea, fresh grounds or pods, normal brew or "bold". There is an accessory for each type which makes it super versatile. There is even a button to brew over ice, It isn't a cold brew per se but just add a few extra cubes when it's done and there ya go. Overall I have been impressed and enjoyed using this machine. If you have a small place, are single or just want the occasional cuppa, this machine is the one for you ~ enjoy! ... show more

I bought it mainly for the tea feature but thought my daughters would like making coffee in it. The tea is extremely weak. I put two bags into the tea holder and it was still very weak. I’m not sure if it first get hot enough or the water goes through too quickly. I tried it on iced mode and on bold. Still super weak. I’m sending it back ... show more
