The size given 7.8x7.8ft is for the net when you stretch it all the way out in a square shape, which means the height of the tree/bush that you can enclose is less than 3 feet. Way too small for most needs, returning.

    • Deer ate the tops out of our pepper plants - now they can’t

Codree deer netting is just what we needed. We have a garden and twice this summer the deer got in it and ate the tops out of the poblano pepper plants. They stunted the growth of the plants to where we didn’t get peppers until late August. To keep deer out of our garden we have always tied light weight fishing line to posts at each corner of the garden and run the fishing line completely around the garden as a string fence. Then we punch holes in the bottom beer or soda cans to keep water from collecting in them and we tie 3-4 of them together by their tab tops with fishing line and hang them on the fishing line fence that goes around the garden so they dangle together. When a deer quietly walks up to the garden in the night, their chest touches the fishing line fence and the cans clink together. It isn’t loud but the deer can’t see what is making noise and it scares the deer away. But twice this year, the deer broke the fishing line fence and went in the garden. They nibbled on the tomatoes, but they did a lot of damage to the pepper plants. So now we have our deer netting as a second line of defense for the pepper plants. I need a bigger net as my tree is growing and the last one was too small now. I have a young cherry tree that my local deer just love to eat! If I do not have the net on it they will literally eat the whole thing down to the trunk. With the net they leave it alone and now has been able to grow again. The net is nice and big so it has breathing room and can be tighten at the bottom with the drawstring and clip. So you can decide where to put it and how big an opening you need. Packed well, easy to setup. Looks durable enough to keep the critters from munching. Has a draw string bottom to keep it in place over the bushes. I opened them up to place over my veggie area like a fence and used some wire post holders to keep it upright. I have a small tree that will get stripped clean by the deer if I leave it uncovered. The netting fits around all of the growth and cinches at the base. I used an anchor to keep it in the ground.
