  • Chips are a bit big, otherwise perfect!
This product is perfect value for your money! I only had to use half the package to cover my entire enclosure and my s humidity is perfect! Would recommend and is a cheaper alternative to reptichip ! I would say the chips are awfully big so be careful for Impaction.

  • Right out the box I loved the bigger chunks
After getting mites from a lesser quality brand I was very happy to see better quality bigger chunks. First time buyer buy definitely not the last time I’ll be buying this product. Check out my photos you can see the difference between lower quality and this product. Great product and a must buy!

  • It's as Good as ReptiChip and CocoBlox
First, this bedding has been the least dusty of the three brands I've tried so far. Freedom Breeder's Cocoblox is very comparable. ProCoco is so dusty I am very, very reluctant to use it again (as in, it's usually $10 at reptile expos, everything else is at least $5 more and I won't buy it). It really messes with my breathing. ReptiCasa will have the occasional plastic strand and it does dye my snakes. So does CocoBlox. From what I read, so does ReptiChip. It all molds with moisture and bacteria. So, basically, it's the same quality as CocoBlox (and possibly ReptiChip)... At the same price. ... show more

  • Only substrate I'll use for non-borrowing snakes.
This stuff was new to me. When it arrived, I wasn't sure what do with it. I suggest looking it up on YouTube, but the gist of it is that you have to soak it in water for awhile. Now, I didn't want to use the entire package, so I broke off about one-third of this package, and soaked it for awhile. I would say it nearly quadruples in volume as you soak it. I got this for a ball python enclosure, 40 gallon. I should be able to get 3 full changes from this one bag of chips, so it's a great value (so much cheaper than aspen!) I also like the darker color of this more. The coconut bark chips hold moisture well, so, for tropical reptiles I think this is the way to go. Also, since I've used it, I have not noticed any mold or mildew or any other issues. I definitely think this is the way to go for tropical animals in terms of ease, cost, maintenance, and humidity control. I think I can probably get a year's worth or more out of just this one bag, which is a huge savings from most other substrates. ... show more

  • Great product
This is just as good as the more expensive stuff

  • Mold within first week! Terrible MOLD!!
Seemed like this was going to be decent substrate everything was fine, chunks seemed a bit bigger than what we normally get. However then it molded way too fast. Had it not been moldy I would have considered this as an option for every time we change substrate. But mold is never good and substrate should not mold in a week or 2! Repti chip and others never mold for us for a long time. Usually dont see mold unless its way passed due for changing and even then it is rare! Would not recommend, obviously there is some problem on the companies end if multiple people have encountered mold! ... show more
