This is a nice quality. The kit comes with everything for a project. The paint has good coverage. The paint brush and roller are nice quality. Make sure to follow the instructions. Prepping the work surface is important. They also suggest putting a wax or sealant on it to protect it. The instructions are detailed and have good suggestions to ensure the coverage, look, and to make sure it lasts. I love these paint kits, they always come with pretty much everything you need to paint a door or some shelves. I used some of this paint on door. I used a sander just because I wasn't sure what kind of paint was on there to begin with but I didn't bother with sanding it all the way. After prep I set up my drop cloth and then ended up using the stirrer and the paintbrush (both included) to get started. I used one coat and then waited until the next day to start on the second coat since it still felt tacky about five hours after I finished. I am still debating on whether or not I need to use a clear coat over the top, I will wait a couple of days because that is always so fast and I might have something else to do on the same day. SSnyways, tis is a really nice dark black. I had some problems with some black paint I bought last year that looked more dark gray than black, so I am happy this one turned out so well, I really hated having to paint again. ... show more

I repainted a section of my old kitchen cabinets using this Wood Paint. I began by removing the cabinet doors and handles, then cleaned the surfaces with a mixture of dish soap and water applied with sponges. Afterward, I dried them with cotton towels. I did not sand the cabinets. Next, I start applying the paint, and to enhance its application, I mixed it with 5% water, which blended well with the paint. For the first coat, I used a mini roller, which resulted in a very smooth surface. To paint the corners and edges that the roller couldn't reach, I utilized a small, high-quality brush, and there were no brush marks left behind. After allowing the first coat to dry for two hours, I applied a second coat of this paint. The end result had a uniform appearance with a slight texture. The paint dried hard. Even in a unventilated room, there was no smell any kind. After a week of daily use, the cabinets still looked great with no sign of chipping, scaling, or peeling. I used this paint to re-paint a dresser we had, it did a pretty good job. The paint is pretty thick but it still took quite a few coats to get it where I wanted. I have noticed it has chipped pretty easy already, but for my needs it did what I needed it to. This is a heavy used dresser so bound to get chipped. If you're painting over an existing color, I highly suggest using a primer first (I did not) so hopefully you won't have to use so many coats. ... show more

This pale blue paint did a decent job of painting over a 1960's bone yellow coffee table. The light blue color is very nice. There were no fumes which is great because the work had to be done inside due to the heaviness of the coffee table. The paint kit comes with two different size rollers, a soft brush, sand paper, paint stirrers and painters tape. I am going to let the paint cure a little longer and then will be finishing it off with a clear coat per the instructions because the table will be getting heavy use. ... show more
