Let me start by saying that I LOVE the color of this paint and the awesome color choices and variety. However, I must also admit I HATE how thick and difficult to cover this was and the durability of this paint. I followed all instructions as well as did two coats followed by a black wax stain and clear wax top coat, and this paint still comes off easily. I also had to buy two jars of this because I ran out of paint in the middle of my project. I painted and repurposed a dated orange oak 72" x 24" x 24" cabinet with a long glass door I painted with Rust-oleum Brand Mirror Effect mirror paint (see before/after pic in pic 1), bottom door and four interior shelves. I also painted an over the toilet cabinet to match that was 30" x 30" x 9" with one door and one inside shelf. I painted both the inside and outside two coats. Note: One 32 oz jar did not cover both pieces (states 32 oz covers three pieces), so I had to buy a second jar. In addition, the paint is super thick, so it was a bit of a chore to paint these. I got so tired that I had to thin down my paint with a bit of water to paint the inside of the tall cabinet easier. I recommend using an poly acrylic sealer to seal instead of wax if you don't want it scuffing easily. I had to touch up the large piece after carefully moving it because it scuffed so easily. That is frustrating to do when you also have to fix the wax stain on top. Last two pics are the Wolf Gray chalk paint without Annie Sloan's black stain or clear wax. will note that I have never used chalk paint or black wax before. Tip: Splurge and buy good brushes (specifically for chalk paint and wax) so the bristles don't fall out when applying the paint or wax. Bottom line: Beautiful color choices and finished product with some difficulty/effort to apply but not as durable as I would like which is disappointing. ... show more

This is my first time using chalk paint and I very hesitant about trying it. I ordered Gun metal. I painted a cherry wood table and four chairs.. I sanded the top of table because of the dark finish It went on smoothly and evenly, good coverage. My one question is concerning whether there should have been an additional jar sent or was the mason jar just representation of the color. Of the 32oz size, more than half was leftover after painting table and chairs. Overall satisfied with the results. ... show more

Before, honey oak. After, nice wolf gray chalk paint. I'm a first time cabinet and chalk paint. So I opted to start in my laundry room. Now I have confidence to do my hall and linen cabinets, both honey oak today. I'm going to try hail white chalk paint on them. I used this to paint my bedroom set. You get a lot out of 1 bottle! I did add a bit of water, but that's expected with chalk paint. I love this gorgeous color. I might have to update with a photo once I complete my room.

I read a review that said this color by 2 chicks and a tool belt was their new go to color. They were right! I love it! I am not a gray color person usually but this color is great! Coverage is amazing! Love the clean up on these! Would suggest better packaging by Amazon, one of my three jars had a cracked lid. Thankfully, the sealed wrapper prevented any leaking.
