It is pretty small and easy to hold, even for a one year old. I will say, I watched one of the babies put their mouth over the hole where the bubbles come out. The machine is great. I love the fact you can turn the music off. But the fact it says it to say “let’s go hunting let’s go hunting” and not continue on with actual baby shark is the worst!!
