The media could not be loaded. I can't express enough how much I love this Automatic Chicken Coop Door! It has made taking care of our chickens so much easier. The convenience of setting it up anytime through the screen is fantastic; we don't have to worry about specific timing. Plus, it's powered by just 3 AA batteries, which last for an entire year, saving us from constant battery changes. The anti-pinch function is a lifesaver, making sure our chickens are safe. If the door senses the chickens while closing, it automatically opens back up and tries again after a few seconds. It's a relief to know that our chickens are protected. installation was a little tedious trying to cut the right shape, but once it was installed it worked perfectly. very quiet, smooth operation. easy to set and looks like it built pretty well. i recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Cutting to the chase… I DO NOT recommend this automatic chicken coop door I received after having a very poor user experience with it. When I first stood this door up to test it’s function, it made ‘snapping’ and popping sounds and randomly got stuck while coming down. The frame was not bent, there was nothing blocking the tracks. To get it to finish closing you have to push down on it when it sticks (see video). Since the problem is random but repeatable I don’t feel safe trusting it, as it would only have to jam closing, and stay open 1 time to let cats, raccoons, other predators in to kill my backyard flock. Pros. + Nice looking unit. + Feels heavier that most doors of this size and type I have used. Cons. - The one I received must be defective as it randomly with either function properly OR get completely stuck closing and you have to manually free the door to work. I have to say based on the very negative experience of trying to get this door to actually work properly, the one I reviewed is 2 stars AT BEST. PLEASE NOTE, My reviews reflect my personal opinion of the “customer experience” using the product based on the actual performance delivered vs what the product’s listed description, photos, and specifications promise. 1 Star - Very poor customer experience - Failed to meet major parts of it’s description. 2 Stars – Poor experience - Mostly as described but is ‘second-rate’, and/or a very poor value. 3 Stars – Average experience - reasonably meets the expectation promised in it’s description. 4 Stars - Good experience - Meets all described expectation, and a reasonable value for money. 5 Stars – Absolutely EXCELLENT experience! - FAR OUTPERFORMED all expectations! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think this will be a nice way of opening your door for your chickens. My friend has a chicken coop, but I think she would like using this for her chickens as she can use the solar panel to power this and automatically control opening and closing of the door. It seems straightforward to assemble but if you’re not sure contact professional. Over all the quality felt nice and I like it had a remote control. Hopefully this works well for your chickens and they’re able to go in and out as you want. Looks like it has some safety features as well to make sure it doesn’t close on a chicken, which is obviously important. ... show more
