  • Great value for the money, a workhorse of a bit!
Great for the price! I have some 100 year old oak that could be full of nails or bullets and I didn't want to break my expensive flattening bit trying to work with it. This bit is not as wide, but still gets the job done. And at this price, if it breaks, it's a lot easier to replace than one 10x the cost. Especially knowing there's probably going to be stray metal in this old wood. I'm using it in my Shapeoko3 CNC machine and haven't had any issues with the setup there at all. I just make sure to take shallow passes. Definitely a great value for the money! ... show more

  • Could be good but isn't.
It could be a good bit but it's the only bit I have that leaves a way pattern during surfacing boards. I have tried all the way down to 5% step over and it still leaves a wavy pattern that no other bit does. Might just be slightly bent but it is enough to cause a issue. Tried it for almost a month to see if I could get it fixed and nothing worked. ... show more

  • I planed a stump cookie with it
I made a router sled and flattened a piece of maple that I cut from a tree. I will add hairpin legs and do an epoxy in the middle part but this blade worked well on my router. I think it’s getting slightly dull after how much I had to take off the piece of wood but I view this as a good value for the money. Now I can hit it with a palm sander and make it perfectly smooth. ... show more

  • Sharp and Square
Bit was low cost but has proven to be very square and sharp. i used it to flatten my spoil board and stock. it would be better if the shaft had a mark for repeatability and dimensions of the cutter but for the price absolutely. I used it for a week and everything is still very sharp.

  • For CNC only
I do freehand carving with my routers and wanted something to clean up large areas of boards when I do outset letters or other items. This probably works great in a CNC but not worth the hassle in a handheld router.

  • Wanting to try
Been wanting to try something like this to form a lip on tabletops, but also will be much easier to flatten boards for table tops. Hard to do with a handheld plane!

  • Very sharp blades and levels wood fast
This router bit is very sharp and levels uneven wood quickly. The bit is 1/4 inch shank size and came with an adapter so this bit will also fit in a 1/2 inch router. I used it in my 1/4 inch dewalt laminate router with a plunge base. For my needs it works very good.

  • Budget friendly, not flat
I flip flopped on this Bit and decided to finally purchase it VS other more expensive ones. I should just spent a couple more bucks. This bit isn't flat, it doesn't cut flat. I thought I had to tram my cnc, but it turns out it's just the bit. Seller seems great! I'm sure there are great surfacing bits, but mine was not, unfortunately. ... show more
