I purchased this product over the others because some of the reviews demonstrated stable operation of the gauge (no bouncing). I can attest that it works without jumping around on my vehicle. I'm not sure if the hose clamp was meant to be installed before or after the adapter is threaded in (or if it was actually even necessary to install). It seems either way will work.
