Saw a post about this kit on Reddit and decided to give it a shot. I just received it today and it was easy to install and having all the pad options and top strap options was very nice to dial in what feels best. Now when wearing the headset it balances the weight so well I don't have to crank down the dial so it stays in place. I find myself barly tightening the dial when playing Legendary Tales. Overall the gains in comfort and very reduced fatigue are worth the price.     • Perfect Headset mod for PSVR2
The Globular Cluster mod is well made and thought out. The installation is easy and straightforward. I recommend reading the included instructions and check youtube videos to learn the installation process. Doing this first and install took 15min. There are multiple front and rear pads to choose from and the rear pad can be moved up or down to maximize comfort. The headstrap has option with/without a pad. The design is excellent and is the quality. It improves comfort and makes getting the sweet spot setup very easy as well. The price is appropriate and reasonable. The CS from the company is A+.     • What a difference!
The PSVR2 headset is already very comfortable, for the most part. But, like most other PSVR2 users, I got annoyed with the minor slipping downward. A lot of videos recommended this product for just that, so I ordered one. I am very pleased with how this product keeps headset from slipping. BUT I am extremely pleased, with how the CMP2 keeps the lenses PRECISELY where they need to be to get the best image possible. I thought I was getting a nice crispy image before, with the stock pads. Now, with the Globular Cluster, it's much more... locked in than before. Hard to describe. I just feel like now I'm getting a perfect sweet spot placement, bigger field of view, and no headset wiggle when you move around quickly. I should mention that it comes with 2 top-straps to choose from, and three types of head pads, so you can choose which combo is most comfortable for you. Personally I'm using the cloth pads on front and back, and the non-padded top-strap. I could not be happier with the purchase. If you're hesitant to spend the money on something that "just keeps the headset from slipping", trust me... it does a lot more than that. Thanks so much to the makers of this thing.     • Does its job well!
I have to admit it was a bit scary taking off the original pads from the PSVR2 headset as I felt I was going to break it. However, the included instructions with the video on Amazon and the bar given to help pry out the pads made it simple to understand and do. After taking everything off it was still intact if I decided to put the original pads back on. The design fits right where the other pads were plus it adds a top strap. In the end I decided this comfort mod was the way to go. I used to get discomfort when moving my head around and had to make my play sessions shorter because of it. After installing this mod it has made it much more comfortable to play longer sessions and it keeps it in place on my head where I have my sweet spot for viewing. Feels like a well cushioned baseball helmet. Weight distribution is much better. There are several different pads to try to see which ones work best as I know everyone’s mileage may vary depending on their preferences and head shapes. I have Globular Cluster’s headset as well and they really know what’s best in fitting their products to perfectly suit the PSVR2 headset. If you have any comfort issues, I would look no further than this comfort mod. ... show more

    • Game changer!
I have chronic painful neck and shoulder issues, and with the original design of the PSVR and PSVR2, I was lucky if I could put in an hour of play time a day, and often went days between playing. This headstrap is a game changer for me! I still have to take a break every hour or so, but I'm not in pain at the end of that hour and I can come back for another round (or two) later. The front, back, and top pads are plush and comfortable, and the three different options for pads included is a really nice touch. But the real magic is that it redistributes the weight of the device...no more pinching the center of your forehead and a tiny spot on the back of the head! I found it easy to remove the original parts, as I'm used to taking devices apart and tinkering/repairing, but some may find that a bit nervewracking. Installing the new parts was a cinch!     • Almost essential purchase for PSVR 2 users!
As someone who happily used Sony's first PSVR headset for six years, I was quick to purchase the second iteration. One of the things I loved about PSVR 1 was how comfortable it was - I regularly put in six-hour sessions playing Skyrim, No Man's Sky, and any number of other games. Sadly, and despite initial reviews, the PSVR 2 took a huge step backwards in comfort - the stock padding is moderately uncomfortable to start with, but because of the incredibly tiny sweet spot of the headset's fresnel lenses, you have to tighten the headset to such a degree to keep it from moving on your head that I found I would start to have a headache within 30 minutes. Enter the Globular Cluster comfort mod, which completely fixes that. You get a choice of both front and back padding solutions, and adjustable height for the back pad, so you can get the headset set up just the way you want it. It's really frustrating that we have to spend an extra $50 to get the comfort and stability Sony's first headset had right out of the box, but I'm grateful that this solution exists. It's a little scary to take off the old padding and install the new, but the kit provides the pry bar tool and reasonably intelligible instructions, so I was able to get everything set up in about 5–10 minutes, and I was going slowly to make sure I didn't screw anything up. ... show more
