The seat is more comfortable than the one that came with my bike. I usually ride 20 to 30 miles at a time and it is nice to have a little extra seat. I did notice that I hear a clicking noise from the springs moving as I pedal. It is when the springs move position. It’s not bad but I just had to get used to hearing it every now and then. I. 6ft about 145 w 32 waist so that gives you idea of my size I Ride at least 20 miles a week for commuting This seat is heavy about 3 lbs. The front sides do rub my inner thighs depending on how I sit. Wish it was an 2in or 1.5 on narroweet. Not sure how comfortable that would become on longer rides such as 10 plus miles. For my four Mile total commute to and from work it's fine. The seat is amazingly comfortable and it's more comfortable than both my work chairs which have thick cushions. Not sure how much the suspension coils do but I know the gel cushion definitely works. My computer has a mile of at least 20 sewer covers if not more that are a pain in the arse to ride over literally. I tried to avoid whenever possible but sometimes I have to write over them and let's see definitely makes it more tolerable bye 50-70% I would say. I do have the $30 cheap zoom suspension seatpost which is sold under different names but honestly that only works on the biggest of bumps which are best avoided. The cutout for the men's growing area I think does help a little bit with pressure alleviation. I have seen video review saying the seat without the cutout is actually more comfortable by a little bit. All I can say this seat is amazing and it's worth the 3 lb it adds to my regular bicycle or electric bicycle. ... show more

This thing is so comfy and durable I bought one for my wife too (and she also loves it). Holds up to the elements well and has held its shape for 15+ rides with no noticeable wear or deformation. Its definitely bigger than your standard MTB seat, but if you do long day rides your bum will thank you!!! ... show more

    • Comfortable but very heavy.
The saddle and spring coils were at least 4 pounds - which is a considerable amount of weight to add to your bicycle when travelling long distance. My friend let me ride her bike with this saddle: it IS very comfortable.

My old seat was the same overall dimension but the seat bottom broke. This seat seems to be better constructed and should give satisfactory service, especially given the reasonable price. The center is open/vented and even has louvers that direct the airflow. The seat is wide well cushioned, and is comfortable for my average 1-hour ride.
