Seems to be a very good product, I needed it to be clamped to the handlebars of an exercise bike and was concerned how strongly the clip would grip the bars. I grips quite firmly. However there is a rather STUPID MFG. DEFECT. The buttons on the control pad are MIS-WIRED so that the functions indicated on the buttons are REVERSED. The ON/OFF button is actually the BRIGHTNESS button, the BRIGHTNESS button is the ON/OFF button, the other functions are SIMILARLY REVERSED. Just saying. ... show more

    • This thing broke a port on my pc!
I received this yesterday, and plugged it in to my pc to test it. It worked fine, not as bright as I was hoping...but whatever. I got it for doing craft stuff at my desk, not intending to have it plugged in all the time, so I unplugged it and put it away. Today, I wanted to use it, so I tried to plug it back in and it wouldn't go. Upon looking closely at the plug and my pc's usb ports, and comparing to another usb plug, it is clear that this thing broke something off inside the usb port, which is now stuck inside the plug, so I can no longer use that port OR this stupid lamp...Extremely annoyed, but I live way out in the middle of nowhere so it is not worth trying to ship it back for a return... ... show more

    • Not as bright as you might like
I just received this lamp today. First the good. It is very flexible, and the neck is very strong. The lamp will not "droop". Second, the clamp is very strong and is metal so it won't break. Third, I like all of the adjustments and colors, although to me the "warm" color is very yellow and I will probably never use it. Now for the bad. This light is not nearly as bright as I expected it would be. It's probably only about 1/2 as bright as it needs to be (in my opinion) to really brightly light up my desk. With lights on in the room or a lot of daylight, you can't tell that the lamp is even on even at full brightness. For my purposes I guess it will work. My room is fairly dark and I just need it to light my computer keyboard and small surrounding surface. This light would be better suited for attaching to a headboard for night reading or things like that. All in all, it is a nice light that I guess I'll keep. I spent too much time researching to come up with this one... I don't want to do it all over again. But I do wish it was 2x brighter. 4 days later: I returned the light. For me, it was just not viable as a desk lamp. I purchased a different light that is 10W and it is much brighter. ... show more

    • Low quality. Cable gets HOT.
I bought two of these for my kids' desks. The goose neck on one was loose and wouldn't keep the desired position. Very inconvenient. Also the wire insulation on both of them broke off the controls. The wires were intact so I just superglued them together. The controls themselves are about 12" away from the lamp so the length of the power cable isn't really that convenient. None of these are deal killers because I can make do. What IS a deal killer is that the cable itself gets very hot when the light is on. I am not sure I trust these lights to be used near my kids for fear of a fire. I would not buy these again. ... show more

Only slightly brighter than the flashlight on your phone. Absolutely useless if you are trying to read a book or use it at home for any desk job like the happy white people on the product page are doing. May be useful when you go camping or where low power consumption is paramount. In the three-line-long title they forgot to mention that the power output of this sad dim lamp is 6W.     • Fantastic little lamp when a small light footprint is needed
I love this little lamp! I use this for a small lamp on a small table when it’s late at night and I want to work on things or be online etc. Great little clamp to mount to many surfaces. The fact you can change to three different lights (led, reg candescent etc) and the fact that you can adjust the light output level is really helpful. So far I am very pleased with this purchase and have been using it often. Granted it’s a small light footprint but that’s what is attractive about it, no need to light up the whole dang room just what I’m needing it for at the time.
