I have probably tried almost every liquid eyeliner out there. KVD, Stila, Marc Jacobs, Tarte, Anastasia, Lancôme, Nyx, and the list goes on and on. I’m always on the search for a smudge proof, waterproof, long lasting eyeliner. I have hooded eyes with oily skin and it’s just a combination for eyeliners to not last. I also laugh a lot which means I tear up at the corner of my eyes causing those other eyeliners to smudge off or bleed. Nothing is worse than eyeliners that smudge and make you look like a raccoon at the end of the day. I can tell you what is wrong with every single one of those other eyeliners I have used but you don’t have all day. I tried using all those with primers, setting sprays/powders, etc and nothing works or lasts. I have come to terms with the fact that nothing will last all day on my skin and I will have to settle for “good enough”. This eyeliner seems to last for the most part and just fades slightly by the end of the day. It doesn’t flake off or rub off, but just fades so that the pigment is not as strong and could probably use a reapplication. I prefer that to flaking or smudging and I have accepted that this is really the best I can get with my oily skin/hooded eyes combo. The felt tip, as some have mentioned, is really hard (not flexible) so that when you are applying, it can actually hurt your eyes if you’re not careful. (But I still prefer this to a brush tip.) I only need to go over the line a couple times in order to get the shade/intensity of black that I like. After that I am good for the rest of the day. For the price point and lasting longer than all those other eyeliners that I have tried out there, I’d say I would buy this one again. ... show more

I usually buy multiples because I take forever perfecting my liner and one nib will dry a bit and I’ll switch to another pen but 1 pen stayed fresh for the whole application was perfectly pigmented and matte on the first stroke AND my eyeliner looks perfect the next morning. I originally bought it in Seoul South Korea at an Olive Young. So happy to see that it was available to purchase here as it is one of the few that doesn’t bleed onto my crease. It’s the perfect shade and lasts a long time.

    • Love this eyeliner but....
I used an inexpensive eyeliner for years and was very happy with it. Then I found out that this amazing eyeliner existed and was sold. It was 3x more than my old eyeliner but so worth it. It goes in easily, stays without smudging, easy to hold....the only gripe I have is that it does not last as long as my old eyeliner...seems like I can get a month use of it (yes I use it everyday and like the cat eye look) so this gets used day and night. Sometimes I can get over a month of use but not always. I purchased direct from the manufacturer but took forever to ship so love that this is available from Amazon!     • expected more, overall disappointed
i’ve been using japanese liquid eyeliners, such as dollywink and kiss me heroine, for many years. they’ve always worked well for me but the brush tip would always dry out pretty quickly, and i would have to swatch the eyeliner several times in order to get the ink flowing again. i wanted to give the CLIO eyeliner a try because i heard the cap is airtight and the eyeliner is less likely to be dry at the tip, making the application much easier and less time consuming. this is only my second time using this eyeliner, and already, i am so disappointed with it. first off, the tip is felt and much thicker than a thin brush tip, making it less accurate and precise for those sharp wing looks. secondly, after only 2 hours, i noticed that the eyeliner has started to bleed, smudge, and the outer corners have started to wipe off. after a full 8 hour day at work, my eyeliner has smudged at the wing (i did not touch it with my fingers) and there are flecks of dry eyeliner around my eyes. i have NEVER had this problem with the dollywink or kiss me heroine eyeliners. i am overall very disappointed with this eyeliner. i will be tossing this out and just sticking with the japanese eyeliners i know and love. ... show more
