I have a number of coolers and not enough room to store them. This collapsible one is quite handy and space-saving. It comes folded down and the bottom strap that you can pull over the top keeps it nicely compact when you want to store it. Then when you pop it up there are a couple of stiffeners on the side that sort of lock into place. If you hit the side when these are "locked", it will pretty much immediately fold in on that side, but if it's full of stuff it probably won't really matter. Also, you can just grab the top portion inside and if you pull up and out a bit it will snap back. The only downside I see is that this doesn't have as much insulation or padding as other soft-side coolers I have. I haven't tested it all day yet, but I think it won't hold a chill quite as well as thicker coolers. Probably best as a grocery tote you can keep folded in your trunk for transporting perishables. One thing I like is that is has little plastic feet on the bottom to keep it off the ground. That is something most soft-side cooler don't have. My dad runs a lemonade busniess and we have ordered about 6 different cooler bags from CleveMade. This style however, is one of my favorites. The larger models tend to be a bit less durable, this size seems be the perfect inbetween. My fathers will pack fully frozen lemonades to take with him around 7am and if he doesnt keep the bag completely open by 5 in the afternoon the drinks will still be frozen when he gets home. The zippers are also some of the better ones that we have seen on cooler bags (we have a few other brands). The first one we bought was maybe about 4 or so years ago, the inner linning is a bit ripped and the bottom stitching is pulling out a bit but we dont tend to handle these bags with too much care and over pack them with fully frozen and heavy drinks. Even with those issues however the bag still keeps our drinks frozen so we are very happy with the purchase. Over time we will definately be buying more. ... show more

Returned without using it. Didn’t expect it to have metal bars inside the bag. Otherwise the bag seemed really spacious; what I was actually looking for in terms of usage and material quality.

Bought this for use on a cruisetour of Alaska for use in Denali and several places were food and cold drinks were minimal. It was PERFECT! My wife and I were flying to another State and then renting a car and spending several days in two National Parks and a few lakes. We wanted to be able to keep fruit and drinks and snacks cold while we were in remote areas for most of the day. I saw this on Amazon and it got good reviews so thought it would be a good option to fold up, carry in my luggage, and then use when we got to our destination. It worked great. I would put a full bag of ice in it and lots of drinks and snacks and fruit and put it in the car. The ice generally lasted about 24 hours and it was pretty warm outside and in the car. It's hard to have a big cooler in the back seat of the Corolla especially if there's a passenger. This holds a bunch of stuff but takes up very little space. Folds down to nothing. Pretty cool.
