Thoroughly wash the vehicle to remove all loose surface contaminants. 2. Spray a workable section of the vehicle's surface with mild shampoo as lubrication. Lubrication is important while using the Clay Pad. 3. Scrub the lubrication areas with light pressure(The speed of your DA set on 2-3 is suggested) until you feel that it is silky smooth(there will be a noticeable difference). 4. Repeat step 2 and step 3 on each section of the vehicle until completely treated. 5. If the vehicle is heavily contaminated, a final wash and rinse is suggested. 6. Unlike a clay bar, this is much easier to use, or at least the way I use it. After washing my vehicle, I make a fresh bucket of soapy water, place the clay pad into the bucket, then use the pad as I would a sponge, just work a small area at a time and rinse.

Only caveat is that the size of this pad is nominal and you'll actually need a backing plate smaller in diameter than a 6 inches.Otherwise the backing plate will extend past the clay pad and cause scratches and/or marring to the surface you're trying to decontaminate.Would be a greater value if future pads are manufactured at 6.5 inches instead as the exact diameter of a 6 inch backing plate to allow for over lapping. ... show more

Awesome! What else can I say. This clay disc removed latex overspray from my full size SUV and left a perfect shine when done. The disc never wore down and I can probably use it several more times on a large vehicle. Just follow the directions and keep wet\ moist when in use. I used quick detail spray and it left my SUV looking better than new. Perfectly paired with a 6 inch DA polisher. It saved me hours of work.     • Marred my paint and didn't save much time anyway
So right off of the bat, i'll admit that I'm a beginner with a DA polisher which is what this product is intended for. Nevertheless, I was very disheartened to see that this product left some marring on my paint despite adequate lubrication. Even worse than this is the inherent design flaw of the edges being very rough and stiff, which in turn makes them abrasive. This creates scuffing issues when using it and the outer edge brushes up against another panel. Most buffing pads for example, don't have this issue because the soft foam part extends through the edges and up to the hook and loop part. However, this this product the clay ends at the edge leaving the rough backing part exposed to whatever it may touch. Ultimately, you're better off sticking with a traditional clay bar, which won't have any of the issues described above. ... show more

This clay bar pad works great! Saved me a lot of time and effort over traditional clay bar. This is the first time I've used this product and it performed very well for me. I have never used a standard clay bar but watched a lot of videos and reviews on YouTube on which product to use. The standard clay bar seemed to be a lot of work and hand rubbing. I have a DA polisher that i purchased from Harbor Freight and used the Clay Bar Pad with it. This pad definitely saved me time and arm ache.
