    • Silky soft skin but a bit perfume-y
Clarins, a French brand, has been around since 1954 so they likely are 'experts' in skincare. This restorative night cream is thick and luxurious--this certainly does feel like a luxe beauty product. Goes on smoothly without dragging across the skin. However, the scent has an underlying perfume scent that I could do without. It's not overpowering but I would rather it not be so perfume-y. This moisturizer left my skin super silky soft. I kept rubbing the back of my hand where I first tried it out. Lovely. Zero irritation to my slight-rosacea-prone skin: no burning, itching, redness. Not greasy either. My skin drank it up. I've never really used Clarins before but I'd try more of their products after trying out this one (though the price is wince-worthy so that's an issue for my budget). Comes in a 1.6 ounce jar and a little goes a long way. As for the claims, who can tell? But if you are a fan of Clarins products, then you will love how this makes your skin feel. ... show more

    • Dry, Mature, Sensitive Skin Is Well Hydrated & Appears Firmer, Smoother, Brighter-Fragrant
This Clarins NEW Super Restorative Night Cream is wonderful for my dry, sensitive and mature (55+) skin, and it actually lives up to the claims so far. It comes in a lovely red jar (sealed) and is a firm, pink cream with a moderately strong floral fragrance that I don’t notice shortly after application. The scent smells rather traditional and reminds me of the Clarins Firming Day Cream w/ 15 SPF that I use sometimes. Clarins is a reputable brand I’ve used 20+ years and I even credit one of their body oils with preventing stretch marks even though I gained at least 75 lbs when pregnant at almost 40. This Night Cream leaves my skin calm and comfortable, and I don’t get any irritation despite the fragrance and some alcohol (not in the top ingredients). While dense and rich, this cream is absorbed quickly and doesn’t feel heavy or leave a greasy residue. It makes my skin well hydrated into the next day, and my skin also appears smoother and firmer. I rarely notice much, if any, firming effect in a couple weeks, so this cream stands out to me and I hope to get even more firming over time. My skin is noticeably clear and bright, which I attribute to using this Night Cream after a brightening serum. Love it. 5 stars. ... show more

I have tried a lot of expensive skin creams, and not all are worth it. I think this one is. The cream has a light, mostly neutral smell, although there is fragrance added. It is luxuriously thick, but it doesn't feel too heavy or oily on for a night cream. I am in my late 40s and have normal but "mature" skin, and I can tell that this has plumped up my skin and makes my laugh lines a little less noticeable. I have been using it for a couple of weeks along with the Clarins Super Restorative Day Cream, and this seems to have given me a bit of a glow too. My husband has even been complimenting me on my skin. I definitely recommend trying it if you are in your late 40s or 50s. The night cream comes in a beautiful red glass jar with Clarins in blue on the lid to make it easier to tell it apart from the day cream, which has Clarins in red. ... show more

Clarins is a brand known for their quality products and ingredients. I was thrilled to be offered a chance to try out a product that I would normally steer away from due to the price. This is one of those cases where price actually matches the value of the product. I have dry, sensitive skin that responds well to a great night cream but I refuse to use anything for even one night which leaves my skin feeling sticky or comes with an overly perfumed scent. This Clarins night cream has zero negatives about it and feels like silk when applying to skin and the next morning your skin feels hydrated and silky. I haven't used it long enough to determine if it reduces my 'sun spots' but my skin was noticeably softer after only one night of use. A little goes a long way and I can see myself splurging on purchasing this again in the future. Or add it to my Gift Wish List so that someone else can purchase it as a perfect gift for me :) ... show more

I was so happy with Clarins Restorative Night Cream. I have combination skin and I find that I sometimes break out when I use heavier night creams, this did not happen with the Clarins night cream. The product has a nice consistency and basically no scent, which I loved. After using it for over a week I have no break outs and my skin feels nice. The product absorbs quickly and feels nice on. The product is designed to help tighten skin and reduce wrinkles，Just over a short period of time, my skin looks rejuvenated. This lotion is noticeably expensive… BUT it works! I have very dry skin. Literally my skin care routine consists of layering a hyaluronic acid, serum, lotion and cream. By morning they are all absorbed and like nothing was even added to my skin. With the Clarins lotion I use my hyaluronic acid, then this…that’s it! I wake up with my skin still hydrated! I can go all day if I don’t wash my face, with it still feeling soft and moisturized. Not sure how they do it but it’s a great formula that’s for sure! Definitely a small container for the price. But if you have the money and super dry skin this works amazing!! I’m excited to see if my fine lines start to go away with continued use. Will update ... show more

Simply put… you get what you pay for. This night cream is amazing. I used it after my normal skin cleansing and I immediately felt like it was BETTER than my previous night cream.
