They plug directly into the socket, light up, have consistent output between the 2, the color is more blue/white but they aren't as bright as the ones they replace. Really like that they come with a foam sleeve around the bulb so you don't have to find a glove to install (shouldn't get fingerprints on glass).

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. THEY ARE DULL AS HELL. Went on a 241 mile drive, wanted "brighter bulbs" and got these. I had to use my high beams driving down Solidad Canyon road. WTF?! Do not waste your money, please. Not a safe product.
