After getting more involved in the VR gaming space, I was finding the default battery capacity of the Oculus Quest 2 lacking. Therefor, I began looking for external batteries to help with this. After browsing my options, I settled on this. Product arrived in a timely fashion, was adequately packaged in a bubble envelope (I would have preferred a small box), and had no defects or shipping damage of any kind. Unboxing the battery pack, it has a nice weight which counterbalances the often-times front heavy weight distribution of the Oculus nicely. It’s a hefty little brick, and feels well-made, with no obvious manufacturing defects or deformities. The cable is plenty long enough to reach the charging port on the headset itself, and seats securely in both the battery, and the headset. I do wish it had pass-through charging capability, but that would most likely negatively impact the price, and potentially cause complications with difference charging rates between the battery pack and the headset. The Velcro straps are sufficient to attach it to the headset, though I wish they were slightly stickier, as during rapid up-down head movement, I can hear the Velcro struggling to maintain its grip. The capacity easily more than doubles my playtime, and is well worth the purchase. All-in-all, a worthwhile purchase. ... show more

Adds about 1.5 hours of life to the headset. I think it makes the headset more comfortable to wear because it acts as a counter balance for the front heavy headset.

Works great. With this and the quests internal battery, I can get 3.5 to 4 hours (with steamVR)... That is if I remember to turn the battery on .. not sure why the battery needs a power button... My battery packs to charge my phone don't. Just plug it in and it charges. The exsistance of the unnecessary power button, is enough to suck 1 star from an otherwise excellent product. ... show more

This battery is listed as working with the Meta Quest 3 at 6700mAh. The actual capacity turns out to be 3800mAh, and it won't supply enough current to stay connected when the headset is under any sort of load, causing the 'USB connected' sound to play repeatedly. I tested this by letting the headset idle and then loading various light-duty apps. It would disconnect every time the CPU usage spiked. At first, I thought it must be a one-off manufacturing defect, but the replacement does the same thing. Both also make a static whining noise when connected. Do not buy this, the specs are misleading and it likely isn't even going to stay connected long enough to get a complete charge cycle out of. ... show more

I gave this as a christmas gift to my s/o and ended up stealing it for myself. I was worried the whole headset one would be difficult to lay down or sit back with, so I got the smaller battery pack you velcro on. I like that this can be taken off and put on easily. I have the meta quest 3 and it gives me a total of about 5 hours of battery life now, which works for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that if I plug in this battery pack with low battery, it is strong enough to charge while I play. Good product. I will eventually buy more so I can rotate them out when one dies while the other charges. 10/10 ... show more
