The watch looks nice and of good quality. The band jiggles a bit but for the price it’s fine. I bought this watch two years ago and, despite me being supper clunky, it has no significant scratches on the body plus the sapphire crystal has zero scratches. I’m happy with my purchase and it’ll probably last ten more years. One important note: the details say the band width is 20mm. However I couldn’t find any that fit. After a few tries, I bought a 21mm band and it fits perfectly. So just go with a 21mm band. ... show more

Just like any other citizen watch, very high quality for the money. The hour and minute hands are very thin and close in color to the watch face. It makes it difficult to read in low light. I needed to decide on a decent solar powered watch that would not break the bank. It was between Citizen and Seiko. I was surprised when I verified on Citizen’s website that this watch does indeed have a sapphire crystal. Most watches with a sapphire crystal are about at least twice the (street) price of this Citizen. Sometimes more. Google sapphire crystal for more info. Another factor was Amazon is the seller of my order. I got burned once by a third-party watch seller. I am confident this watch is the real deal. The watch was packaged well in what appeared to be all of the original factory packaging and protective wrappings. See photos. This watch was running when I received it. I set it in a window sill for about five hours on a sunny day. and then about four inches from a bright fluorescent bulb in a desk light for four days. It now has been eight weeks with no time issues. See Citizen’s website for complete charging time estimates and requirements. Overall this is a very nice looking accurate watch for the price. One note, the watch face is very dark blue, but looks black unless you do a close inspection in the right lighting. The watch case markings are luminescent in the dark. ... show more

    • Sapphire Crystal makes it worth it

Picked because it's an Eco-Drive and one of the few with a Sapphire crystal. Easy to adjust friction split-pin bracelet. Eco-Drive ease of use and reliability can be assumed. As a "Daily Driver" it should wear well. Lume is negligible and the hands are quite thin, so it's not super-easy to read, especially in the dark, but it's good enough given the diameter. Very inoffensive to wear. Not too big, not too ostentatious, and can be pressed into service in many circumstances. It's not "dressy" by any means though. Bracelet is nothing special, and does not have a safety clasp, but I guess Citizen figured it's an office watch, not a sporty watch. So far, it doesn't seem to rattle too much, so that's a plus.     • Great watch comfy band and stylish

I just started wearing watches again as having to check a cell phone for the time is ridiculous. Everyone knows a cell phone if your flashlight, not your time piece. I've 6ft 1 270ish the weight/size of the dial is perfect. Bonus that the metal linked band isn't ripping the hair off my arm like an angry weedwacker. The band is actually a little to big and I need to remove one or two links. So you puny man-boys will probably need to take at least half the links off to fit your weak and thin appendages. The bezel color is a very dark blue /gray.. you have to be under some strong light to see the blue as in the photo. No useful instructions came in the box.. so you have to fiddle with it to set the date. Only downsides so far is that I have manged to scratch up the clasp and that its impossible to read at night. There appears to be no luminous paint on the hands.. so night/dark time use is very iffy. ... show more
