Description

The battery-operated men’s watch from Citizen, part of the Quartz family, sports advanced features such as a chronograph that measures up to 12 hours, as well as the current date. The blue dial is paired with luminous yellow hour and minute hands, a yellow second hand with a luminous dot, and yellow subdial hands. The stainless steel, two-tone, 41mm case has a unidirectional rotating bezel, and is matched by the stainless steel two-tone bracelet watch band. The end result is a striking, unique watch that will compliment every style. Since its foundation in 1930, CITIZEN has promoted a multi-cultural mindset that fosters excellence and creativity. The very name of the brand conveys a deep respect toward craftsmanship and considered as familiar by citizens the world- over. So as a “citizen” of the world, we bear the responsibility to help cultivate a culture of positive change and on-going evolution through our craft. We take that mission seriously and steadfastly welcome what the future may bring. As a true manufacture d’horlogerie, CITIZEN integrates a comprehensive manufacturing process from creating individual components to a watch’s final assembly. It’s an artisan’s approach to watch making based on pushing forward the boundaries of technology and leveraging our experience toward exploring new possibilities. One pivotal technological breakthrough was the development of a light-driven watch. CITIZEN pioneered this engineering innovation well ahead of other watch manufacturers as early as 1976, which led to the launch of the highly acclaimed Eco-Drive in 1995. Utilizing electrical power converted from virtually any light source, this extraordinary innovation changed forever the way watches could be powered. Eco-Drive eliminated the need to ever replace batteries, which made it especially beneficial to areas where such specialist batteries were not obtainable. This leveled the field for citizens of virtually every country to be able to experience unrestricted joy of wearing and using a CITIZEN watch. The product development policy, “The Fusion of Technology and Beauty,” remains a constant motivation for us to merge cutting-edge technology with perfection of design beauty, which as a consequence inspires people to strive to be their best at any time. CITIZEN launches a new campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, Better Starts Now. This is the simple belief that no matter who you are or what you do, it is always possible to make something better — and now is the time to start doing it. We believe that better and now are both infinite, and that there is always a next ‘better’ and a new ‘now’ in which you can start pursuing it. It was clear from the onset of this project that we are dedicated to this ideal…not to the past but to the present, and all the way we can improve it. To help communicate this belief to the world we have created a new global CITIZEN brand movie, brand identity and brand website that represents out Better Starts Now philosophy. • Very good looking
Good quality and reasonably priced

  • Quality for the money
This watch is very comfortable on the wrist. Sizing the bracelet was super easy and doesn’t require any special tools. The packaging was on par for the price. Even with the smaller case size, it still looks great on my 8inch wrists.

  • Good price - Excellent quality
No instruction how to use this watch (for beginners) (Citizen web site : no instruction available specifically for this model ) - Watch band links : very difficult to remove (for wrist circumference adjustment ) : need a small hammer (watch repairing hammer) and special tool to hold wrist band in place to remove links - Otherwise beautiful watch , not too heavy . ... show more

  • Good watch!
This watch is much better looking in person then it is in the pictures. The screw down crown confused me at first but it works. The watch matches a lot of outfits. I would recommend this for a novice watch collector👍

  • Outstanding Value
The Citizen AN3394-59L is an absolutely outstanding value. Everything about it is classic, especially the 39mm case size, folded link bracelet, 20mm lug width and simple chronograph functions. It’s what an entry level quartz chronograph should be. Plus it has the added benefit of a screw-down crown and pretty good lume. Get one before they’re discontinued. ... show more

  • Easy to set, just the right size.
You have to un-screw the setting knob before setting the time or date. Had to remove two links, and it was easy. Check out YouTube to see how. Works great like all Citizen watches, and comfortable to wear. Much more appropriate size than the dinner-plate size watches. Very attractive style with the two-tone hardware and blue face. Thank you, Citizen, for making this size. ... show more

  • Great Value Citizen
I really like this Watch. It is my first Citizen watch, after mostly owning G-Shocks. I am now in love with the Citizen brand, and I am now looking to purchase one of the more expensive Citizen Eco Drive watches. This is a great looking watch, I love the two tone look and the blue is awesome. It's not a huge watch but it still looks very manly. After being exposed to light, the hands and markings on it are very luminescent, and glow extremely bright for several minutes before returning to a more gentle glow. I mainly wear it to church and when dressing up a little bit and wear my g-shocks to work to get banged around. Great Ciitizen Starter watch, but I wish I had saved up to get a more expensive model. ... show more

  • sweep secondwatch, I came across this model on Amazon which ...
While searching for a 3 hand, sweep second watch, I came across this model on Amazon which had many positive reviews. Although I already have other chronographs, I was impressed by the appearance and the gold accents which appeared to be showy, and without seeing it, hopefully not "Bling". APPEARANCE: On receipt of the watch, it would be considered two tone dressy with gold accents - without being Bling While reasonable looking, in my opinion, the appearance is somewhat different from Amazons photo. Possibly, the bezel and its curvature, which is not apparent and gives it a somewhat different appearance- JUST DIFFERENT. THE CHRONOGHAPH: I cannot see any real reason to own this watch if a Chrono is desired, because the Chrono seconds function are not split seconds - just 1 second intervals. Admittedly, with extra Chrono buttons it may be stopped at a particular second, as opposed to a 3 hand sweep second that cannot, but it simply does not compare with an analogue Chrono movement that can split the seconds at 1/10 or 1/20 of a second. So, on that count, nothing actually wrong with the watch - just not a practical second function. THE BRACELET: Relatively narrow 18mm width. While possibly OK for the price, has pressed links in lieu of solid links that are usually found on higher quality watches - I wouldn't say that they have overly excessive play as some pressed links have. The pressed link construction is clearly visible from the sides and they appear to easily remove similar to some Cassio style. ACCURACY: while I have not had it long enough to test it, It was syncronised to my Computer Clock on 27 September and to date it is only a few seconds difference. SIZE: Actually measured at 39mm excluding the crown and its shields Quite possibly an ideal size without being too large. FINISH: Something that lets it down a little. The sides of the case and the sides of the bracelet are the only polished areas and neither are polished to mirror finish. The remainder of the case and bracelet is brushed - with the exception of the Gold plating accents which ARE mirror finish. DIAL & HANDS: The Medium to Dark blue Sunray dial is showy and imparts a differing shade appearance from almost every angle. The Lume on the hands covers most of the hands except for a thin gold division within their length, a thin gold perimeter, and gold extensions past the centres. The same applies to the stick markers, the lume covers all of them except for their fine gold perimeters. CASE REAR: Common, screwed on, 100m water resistance. CROWN: The watch surprisingly has a Screw Down Crown - which is not mentioned anywhere in Amazons description/s. QUIETNESS of Movement: Unable to hear any audible ticking noise when holding against ear. While not Perfect, a reasonable value for the price. I additionally found a 3 hand two tone in a similar size in Seiko SNQ010. They both have their own +/- , just different ... show more
