  • Quality, Accuracy & Value
Color: Blue Dial
These are great watches. This is the 3rd one Ive bought! I'm a diver, fisherman & boater and put a lot of wear & tear on a watch. I beat them up and typically replace them every 7 years. They still work its just that the band, bezel & cyrstal get really scratched up. And the screwdown crown needs to be replaced. Rather than spend $175 for all that service, I just buy a brandnew one. This watch keeps perfect timing. Never misses a second with the Eco Drive! Only time I have to adjust is the time change twice @ year. It fits perfect and is the right size for a man's wrist. The deep blue face is cool too. Ive had it to 145' scuba diving with no issues. The only grip is the date view is very small. I would buy this watach again. ... show more

  • Very, VERY nice looking dive watch from Citizen - good quality and amazing value!!!
Color: Blue Dial
What a super value in a dive watch!!! Came across this one recently by accident. And, upon first glance - I had to have it. I really like blue dial dive watches. I also know how well Citizen's Eco-drive technology works. Eco-drive tech is particularly appropriate for a dive watch, so that the case back does not have to be opened to replace a battery (at least not for a very long time), possibly compromising the water resistance of the watch. Upon receiving it, I was very impressed at what Citizen can offer at this price. EXCELLENT quality stainless steel bracelet!!! Not to mention, it is drop dead gorgeous!! The dial and bezel are similarly nice to look at, with the beautiful blue tones they have. The orange second hand is a nice touch. The watch has a screwed-in case back. As you might note from the dial, it is also ISO 6425-compliant. The only thing it doesn't have that would be nice, is a sapphire crystal. But you can't really expect that for a couple hundred dollars. Everything else the watch has is very nice. The bezel (60 clicks) is solid and precise. The lume is pretty good, and it includes a lume pip on the bezel. The bracelet uses the pin and collar system. If you size the bracelet yourself, be careful to NOT lose the collars, and to install them correctly!! Without the collars, the bracelet would fall apart. The clasp has 3 micro-adjustments for getting the perfect fit. I really like this watch. My only real complaint is that the date window is too small. Not the best choice for aging eyes. But otherwise, it is a fantastic watch overall, and I expect to get many years of use from it! Can't beat the price, either. ... show more

  • Attractive and Functional (Blue Face With Metal Watchband)
Color: Blue Dial
This is a great watch and value for money, as the Brits like to say. I don't dive much anymore, but I snorkel, body surf and swim, and this is made for water sports. It is very accurate (much better in this regard than my self-winding dive watches). The lume is excellent-- a pretty and unusual shade of blue. I can easily read the hands all night long; the second hand usually disappears after a few hours in the dark. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I really like the metal band. It is attractive, sturdy and secure. It is pretty big, so expect to remove a couple of links if you don't have especially large wrists. It is not too difficult to do (YouTube videos). But be careful. No one told me that the band pins are actually two pieces-- the pin itself plus a very small cap that goes around the top of the pin. It is very easy to lose the teeny tiny caps when you remove the pins, and then you are kind of screwed when you try to put the band back together. Without the caps, the pins quickly fall out and the band will fall apart. Oops. It would be nice for the band to have a wetsuit extension, but at this price you can't expect an extra feature like that. Just buy a new band if that's what you need. The one thing that I don't like is the date feature-- it is much too small. But that is the beginning and end of the things I don't like about the watch. I am really happy with it. ... show more

  • A beautiful watch
Color: Blue Dial
It took me a long time to figure out just what I wanted in a nice watch. I ended up here with this Citizen watch (the one with a dark blue face and a red sweeping second-hand) and I'm very happy with it. I wanted a watch with an actual functioning rotating bezel. (I use my bezel usually at least 4 times a day for a multitude of purposes.) Check. I wanted nice looking metal bracelet. Check. I wanted the accuracy of a quartz movement. I don't get why I should want an automatic movement when I would have to keep adjusting the watch every few days to keep it accurate. I couldn't find a quartz movement in a Seiko brand watch (with a bezel) so I'm glad I found Citizen watches. Check. It had to be decently waterproof. This one is rated to 200 meters. Check. I didn't want to spend a fortune for a watch. I found some Tag Heuer watches I liked (quartz movement with bezel) but they were around $2,000. Now I can appreciate how some guys want to proudly have a two grand watch on their wrist but that's not really my style. BTW, I was visiting a doctor the other day who had a watch that looked almost exactly like mine so much so that I had to comment on it. It turned out his watch was a Grand Seiko watch he bought years ago for six thousand bucks. So anyway, check again. I did want to own a respectable well known brand. Citizen has been making watches in Japan for a century. Check. And I wanted a beautiful watch. Check. Note: At the same time I bought this watch I also bought their titanium version. True the titanium is lighter, but I wasn't enamored of it. I actually preferred the heft of the regular steel bracelet. It feels more luxurious to me. So I returned the titanium watch. Yes, it's true the date window is too small to see easily. That seems to be the only negative comment I can make. ... show more
