I bought this for Father’s Day for $127. I think at that price it’s a pretty good deal. When it’s not on sale the price seems to fluctuate between $140 and $175 depending on the day or even the time of day. The sapphire crystal is nice, Still without a blemish or scratch. I am a paramedic and I banged it on a firetruck the first day at work and it still is perfect looking. No scratch or chip on the dial at all. The chronograph took a little while to get used to but once I did it was very easy and convenient. I took off half a star because of the 21 mm band. That’s not very common. They should have gone with 20 or 22 mm to make switching out straps easy to do and find. Another half star because it’s slightly difficult to tell the time at a glance. There’s a lot going on on the display and not enough contrast. It doesn’t show up in the picture but in real life the dial seems a little too busy to me, if that makes sense. The lume is definitely sufficient overall. It’s not the best but it’s definitely not the worst. I would put it slightly above average. At night, once your eyes have gotten used to the dark there is definitely enough to see the time easily. I frequently wake up around two or 3 AM every night and have no problem glancing and seeing the time on the watch in darkness. Overall it’s a bargain for the price I paid. Probably would not pay more than $150 for this. Hope this review helps! ... show more

Beautiful dial -- the subtle texture surrounding the chronograph dials shines through when there's ample ambient sunlight. The sapphire crystal gives it a super clean and polished look. I am scared of buying lower quality crystals from now on. I have always been a leather strap person, but the metal bracelet look on this one is incredible. No doubt I will be buying more metal bracelets in the future. The date and 24 hr function is quite useful on a daily basis. The stopwatch function of the chronograph is slowly growing on me as well -- I use it for productivity purposes and not having to check my phone's screen is a big benefit. (Haven't really used the tachymeter, so can't comment on the utility aspects of that.) One thing for which I have to applaud Citizen is the accuracy. It has been over a month, and the watch has not lost a single minute after the initial synchronization with the iPhone's digital watch. Also, all the hands align perfectly with the hour and minute markings. I have been complimented every time I've worn it in social settings. I'd recommend buying it if this fits within your taste profile. ... show more

I have a black ecodrive that I have worn and absolutely abused for the last 13-14 years. Liked the green face on this one - charged under a light for a few days and bam! Running like a champ. Hopefully this will last at least as long as the other one has - which I will switch up wearing when I’m doing the rough stuff in life - yard / car work, etc. ... show more
