This stylish watch in a stainless steel case with black aluminum plated bezel, hickory brown leather strap with light brown dial, features 1/5-second chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, 12/24-hour time and date. Featuring our Eco-Drive technology – powered by light, any light. Never needs a battery. Caliber number B612. Since its foundation in 1930, CITIZEN has promoted a multi-cultural mindset that fosters excellence and creativity. The very name of the brand conveys a deep respect toward craftsmanship and considered as familiar by citizens the world-over. So as a “citizen” of the world, we bear the responsibility to help cultivate a culture of positive change and on-going evolution through our craft. We take that mission seriously and steadfastly welcome what the future may bring. As a true manufacture d’horlogerie, CITIZEN integrates a comprehensive manufacturing process from creating individual components to a watch’s final assembly. It’s an artisan’s approach to watch making based on pushing forward the boundaries of technology and leveraging our experience toward exploring new possibilities. One pivotal technological breakthrough was the development of a light-driven watch. CITIZEN pioneered this engineering innovation well ahead of other watch manufacturers as early as 1976, which led to the launch of the highly acclaimed Eco-Drive in 1995. Utilizing electrical power converted from virtually any light source, this extraordinary innovation changed forever the way watches could be powered. Eco-Drive eliminated the need to ever replace batteries, which made it especially beneficial to areas where such specialist batteries were not obtainable. This leveled the field for citizens of virtually every country to be able to experience unrestricted joy of wearing and using a CITIZEN watch. The product development policy, “The Fusion of Technology and Beauty,” remains a constant motivation for us to merge cutting-edge technology with perfection of design beauty, which as a consequence inspires people to strive to be their best at any time. CITIZEN launches a new campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, Better Starts Now. This is the simple belief that no matter who you are or what you do, it is always possible to make something better — and now is the time to start doing it. We believe that better and now are both infinite, and that there is always a next ‘better’ and a new ‘now’ in which you can start pursuing it. It was clear from the onset of this project that we are dedicated to this ideal…not to the past but to the present, and all the way we can improve it. To help communicate this belief to the world we have created a new global CITIZEN brand movie, brand identity and brand website that represents out Better Starts Now philosophy.

  • Nice Everyday Watch
I was interested in this watch a few years ago when it was a lot less pricey but I didn't get it. Wish I did. Even at the sale price I picked it for it's still costs a lot more. I wanted a eco-drive watch because I'm a huge fan of the Casio solar watches. This watch looks better then most Casios of this style. The face is simple with stamped numbers and pins. Easy to read the cream dial although in low light the white hands can be difficult to read. The hands are the only part that glows. Buttons seem to be of good quality. The band was instantly removed and I installed a Barton silicone band (black with orange trim). The leather band did not have quick release pins so it was in a pain getting off. The Barton is WAY more comfortable. Good size stainless steel case. Not huge by any standard but not small like many dress watches. Keeps good time although not atomic. Outer rim is a tachymeter which is easy to use since the large second hand belongs to the stopwatch. Of course it requires math so if you're unaware of how it works there are tutorials online. Comes is a decent gift box. Highly recommended if you can get on sale. ... show more

  • Style Meets Functionality
The media could not be loaded. Looking for a reliable timepiece that combines practicality with sophisticated style, the Bryson Chronograph offers exceptional value. It's an ideal choice for watch enthusiasts and casual wearers alike who appreciate the balance of form and function in a modern chronograph. See my video to learn more. ... show more

  • AN UNDERSTATED BEAUTY
This is a watch that is as beautiful as it is simple. It will not make you go blind trying to read it like a lot of busier chronographs in the same price range. The color is unique and exceptional. The size sounds large in print, but is not on my wrist which is a little above average in size. The band closes on the third hole snugly and a little loose on the second hole. While it was not on sale like a lot of other watches, this one caught my eye and continues to do so. Everyone who sees it pays a compliment. Buy with confidence. ... show more

  • Nice watch with some limitations
Seems the quality is good, great looks, easy to read... except the date. I don't understand why they make the date sooooo small; it's not really usable 99% of the time (unless under direct light with eyeball stuck to glass). Hands are luminous but not the hours, so you have to estimate the time. I wish they had a backlit option though, because I don't look at my watch almost immediately when I go into a dark room or at night outside. By the time I need to see the ..time, there's no luminescence as it lasts only a few minutes. The timer goes up to 1 hr, not enough for a regular activity (class) that goes up to 1.5 hrs. It would help if the bezel rotated, but it doesn't. The band is leather but it may be too short for some men. I have an average wrist size and as you can see in the picture, it's tight. It makes it slightly harder to put this on because the length is shorter than most original bands that came with other watches I owned. It's a nice watch and I'm keeping it. I like Citizen watches. Yet, for $245 on sale this is not an inexpensive watch. Usually it's closer to $300. Obviously value means different things to different people. A few years ago, I can't see myself spending this much for a wrist watch even if it had atomic time keeping, sapphire crystal & backlit (this doesn't any of those features). Registering it gives you and additional year of warranty for a total of 6. I inspected it closely, it's brand new and probably made in Japan. I'm assuming because on the back it says "Japan Mov't" I'll update if I encounter any problems in the future. My other Citizen watches have been reliable. ... show more

  • Attractive Men's watch Great function Powered by Light
I own several Citizen Eco drive watches and have always enjoyed the function and appearance of the product. This watch I bought to present as a gift and it was a hit! Eco drive is powered by light with great reserve capacity when charged. The settings are easy to understand and there is great on-line support available. You even get advice on setting for events like daylight savings time by email. This Citizen watch is water resistant to 100 feet and is both a watch and stopwatch/timer and tells you the date. A good watch and a good value for the price. ... show more

  • Gorgeous Time-Piece, Almost Perfect!
The watch-face itself is absolutely gorgeous - if you took a look and thought "this is a beautiful watch" you'll want to go with your gut and just make the purchase, it looks even better in person quite frankly. The dials are simple to read and understand, your 24-hour AM/PM indicator, the highlighted orange stop-watch, the second/minute/hour read-outs are all fantastic. As others have stated the date indicator is on the small side, but honestly it's really not much of an issue (though it may be for some people). What's great about the eco-drive systems are that they'll run solely on light for approximately 10 years - but the concerns about longevity are negligible since you can just replace the battery (they usually go for about 20 bucks) and it'll work just fine again. For those feeling cheated because of the "life-time" tag, just understand that it will cost a very modest amount to continue function. Everything needs a little bit of maintenance, but what doesn't that apply to anyway? Overall an excellent piece. ... show more

  • Date window needs a cyclops
Love the looks of the watch. The band is a bit stiff. The date window is utterly useless; too small, set too deep, needs a cyclops. If I paid more than $200 I’d be unhappy.
