When I open the box, which was a new item(cisco switch), I was removing the plastic and there was rattling from inside of the switch. I did not even attempt to power it on to see if it worked. I have never heard clanking in a Cisco switch.

Cisco gear is usually top-notch, if a bit overkill. This unit may have issues with access points that are greedy for Watts.
