I really like the blunt, rounded tips, especially since I will be cutting hair around my eyes! I was not expecting these scissors to be so sharp, but they are awesome! They don't stick and open/close easily. Included are a small comb, 2 hair clips, as well as a cleaning cloth and scissor adjuster. I think the adjuster is to tighten/loosen how the scissors open. All this in a cute little case. I have not used the thinning scissors yet but imagine I will try them eventually. I feel so much more comfortable doing home haircuts on my son with this set! I love that the tips of the scissors are rounded bc it's always a slight fear of mine that I will nip his ear or poke his forehead. These are perfect! The scissors themselves are sharp to help make the cutting easy, but they come with a protective zippered pouch to keep them safe and out of the kids hands when not in use. the only improvements would maybe to have a more gender neutral case and the comb, while appreciated, is kinda meh. It's cute, but the way it's designed doesn't really let me get all the hair and close to the head. The handles are comfortable and it does come with two hair clips that I don't use for my son, but if you had someone with longer hair they'd come in handy. This CIICII Kids Hair Cutting Scissors Shears Kit is well-made, as is the case in which it comes. What makes it suitable for children are two features: the scissors and (plastic) comb are shorter than my others and there are safety guards on two of the items. The comb and one of the scissors each have rounded safety bumps at their tips to eliminate accidentally hurting the head. The thinning shears do not have points and do not require the safety bumps. While this item is marketed for young children, we have an additional use for it. It will accompany us on long trips where finding barbers/hairdressers is inconvenient. This will work quite well for those in between trims. And coming in a convenient case makes it even easier to place in our luggage. ... show more

I was looking for some scissors to cut my daughter’s hair at home. I liked the look of this little kit. It’s nice that it has a carrying case. The case has a safety aspect as well. I like that the scissors have a rounded tip, since kiddos can’t sit still. The comb seems a little cheesy, doesn’t really match the rest of the set. The quality overall seems good. Got this set to cut my toddlers' hair, and I especially love the carrying case to keep everything in one place. I have no hair cutting experience, so I can't speak to the quality compared to actual professional grade scissors, but these worked well for just doing simple trims on my kiddos' hair.
