  • Classy & Functional
Color: Red
I love the small footprint, even smaller than Keurig's slim. It uses the generic purple or black refillable pods. No extra buttons to push-- just start and it makes a great cup of coffee. It will brew a full twelve ounces. Some reviews claim it makes a loud noise and it does make more than my previous machine, but I do not find it obnoxious or disturbing to conversations in the kitchen in any way. ... show more

  • COMPACT SIZE FITS ON MY COUNTER NICELY
Color: Red
The Chulux Model QF-CMB802 is nice compact coffee pot for this one day a cup gal. This model is very easy to use and keep clean. I love the way it tucks into a corner on my kitchen counter top (size comparison to a 12 cup Mr Coffee I borrowed when my other coffee maker crashed). I don't purchase the coffee pods, but use the resuable filter and it works great and the water comes out nice and hot. I usually pour my one cup a day coffee in a 24 oz to-go container. If I had to say there was a down side it would be the size distance between the dipenser and cup placement area. It is only 4 1/4" (5 1/4" if you remove the tray) and pouring water into the back from a coffee cup can be a challenge; but I have made it work for me by dedicating a glass measuring cup to use for putting the water into the back and it fits nicely under the drip area. I worked with Chulux on a previous product and I can honestly say they are very courteous and quick to respond via email. I gave this coffee pot a 5 star review, because the size of the cup area was my choice against other single cup coffee dispensers out there. ... show more

  • Just One Cup - Just Right
Color: MatteBlack
I love making just one cup and using it just for me. The pod works just great and it tastes great. My one suggestion is that you should be able to heat the water up and be able to wait until you want it before you brew. In this one, as soon as the water is heated it begins immediately making the coffee (actually I use it for tea). I also love that it shuts off when the drink is made! ... show more

  • Chulux 1.7 L Electric Glass Kettle - Great Looking But, Some Problems
Review Adjustment 05/18/2020: The seal around the bottom of the kettle started to leak after less than 3 weeks of use. The ring holding the basket up became loose enough after 10 days that the basket would not stay up. These happened even when I treated the kettle very carefully and followed all directions regarding handling and cleaning. Pros: - Good Price. - Delivered Ahead of Schedule. - Stylish Design. - Stay Warm Feature does work. - Run Dry Safety Cutoff is great feature. - Good Size Tea Basket. - Heats Water Very Fast. - Water Temp Display is easy to read. - Stay Warm Temp is easy to set. - Multi-Color LED lights are quick indicator of temperature. (Look COOL too) - Audible Beep when set temperature is reached. Cons: - Instruction manual is difficult to understand because English translation is poor (machine translation). - Temperature Control is not precise enough (manual says +/- 6 F.) - Default set temperature of 212 F. (100 C.) at power on is too high. Pot boils over and spills water everywhere. - Temperature Adjustment Increments are too great for adequate temp control. (each button push changes set temperature 18 F. [10 C.]). - Pot spills water out of spout when water is boiling. A lot of water. - Cannot fill Pot to MAX level (1.7 L) without water boiling out of spout. - Tea Basket does not stay out of water when water is boiling (basket too close to water at max fill level). - Tea Basket will not stay up when water is hot. The friction fit ring must expand and loosen so basket comes down. - The metal ring at the top of the glass pot which contains the spout has a rolled lip that holds liquid. This is VERY DIFFIULT to clean and will accumulate debris/oils/discoloration quickly. - Taking the pot off the heater plate seems to turn off the temperature set point for the warming feature. I had to reset the Keep Warm set point each time I took the pot off the heater plate. - Not sure of the long term durability of the pot lid/tea basket. If feels flimsy and the fact that the friction fit on the basket would not hold the basket up after the first use indicates that it will wear out quickly. I researched all the electric heater tea pots on Amazon.com and a couple other sites. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that I didn't know whether we would be using regularly after the COVID-19 crisis. With the "shelter in place" being extended and the probability of being inside during the day much higher, the desire for a pot that keeps the liquid warm is more. This electric tea pot does have the features I desired but the actual execution of my parameters falls short of my needs. Other reviewers of this pot did not state my issues so maybe I just got a bad pot. This Chulux 1.7 L Electric Glass Kettle does have the features I looked for, on paper. It has a large capacity of 1.7 Liters of fluid so we don't have to keep preparing multiple batches during the day. It has a "stay warm" feature to keep the tea warm for at least 2 hours. It has a "run dry" safety shutoff feature to prevent the kettle from burning or breaking if the liquid is gone, a feature that reassured my wife that the kettle would not cause the house to burn down. The descending tea basket was a very nice feature to keep temperature sensitive teas/or leaves out of the water before the appropriate temperature was reached. Other tea kettles require that the tea leaves be in the water while the pot is heating up the water. The descending tea basket also allows us to prepare the kettle with water and leaves the night before and just turn the pot on in the morning. The actual pot is made of glass, not plastic, and reasonably sturdy construction. The handle has all the controls on it and easily accessible. The stay warm feature does allow you to adjust the temperature to what you desire instead of having a limited number of presets which may not meet your desires. The parts of the kettle that come in contact with the liquid do not contain extractable chemicals like BPA or other phthalates, so I am not worried about long term health effects. Finally, the cost of this kettle was competitive with other electric kettles that offered fewer/less desirable features. The specifications are great for this Chulux electric kettle. It just falls somewhat short in several areas as follows. First, the manual is not written clearly. The manual was machine translated and the English version is difficult to understand. The full operating manual is much worse than the "quick start" one page document. There are several clarifications that are important in the "quick start" document so be sure to read that fully. It isn't a deal breaker but, a clear operating manual really helps before using the kettle the first time. After you understand the quirks, the kettle is fairly intuitive (it is just a teapot on an electric hotpad after all). A more major flaw with this kettle is that, if you fill the pot with water to the MAX fill level (1.7 L fill line), it will boil out of the spout and spill water over the hot pad, and every surface around. I was watching the temperature readout on the kettle and saw the water start to boil at an indicated temperature of 204 F. - 206 F. By the time the temperature indicator reached 208 F. - 210 F., the water was boiling very vigorously and was boiling up. By the time the temperature indicator reached 212 F. and the kettle shut itself off, the pot had boiled over and spilled 0.25 L - 0.5 L of water out of the pot. The water is very hot and could scald someone if they are not careful. This is a safety concern, not to mention saturating any porous objects around and creating a mess. My recommendation is that the pot should not be filled to more than the 1.25 Liter level and/or do not use the ON/OFF button which defaults to a set temperature of 212 F. (100 C). If you set the temperature to 194 F. (90 C.), the water will get hot enough for making tea but will not boil over. The temperature sensor is claimed to be accurate to +/- 6 F. (approx. +/- 3 C.). This leads to another slight problem. The temperature settings can only be adjusted in increments of 18 F. (10 C.). It says so right in the manual and I reconfirmed this. This is a problem at the water boiling temperature but not necessarily a problem at other settings. I don't have any teas that are that sensitive to water temperature such that I need more precise temperature control. If you do, this is something to consider. Another feature that is in the quick start manual but not other places is the fact that, if you take the pot off the heater plate, the kettle turns itself off. When you replace the kettle on the plate, you have to turn press the "stay warm" button again and set the warming temperature. Each time you take the kettle off the plate, it does this. If you forget to press the "stay warm" button and set the temperature each time, the kettle will be off and will cool down. It is definitely safe but can be irritating. These are quirks that I am sure I will get used to. A concern I have that cannot be addressed with "operator training" is the durability of the lid mechanism holding up the tea basket. The fact that the polymer ring loosened up and allowed the tea basket to drop into the liquid the first time I used it, does not give me confidence in the long term durability of the lid. Unless I can get replacement/repair parts, I am not sure that this kettle will be useable for more than 6 months. I do not like that. In conclusion, the Chulux Electric Glass Kettle has a lot of features which put it on par with electric kettles costing much more money. There is a learning curve to get the kettle to do what you want without problems. That is minor. There is a question of durability for the Lid/Tea Basket which will probably diminish the effective life of the electric kettle which makes me question my decision to purchase. I do not recommend this kettle for that reason. ... show more

  • Perfect for my camper
Color: Red
Bought this for the camping trailer because we were looking for something that wouldn’t take up a bunch of space and this one fits the bill. It’s not the fastest brewer but it’s not the slowest. It’s 3-minutes to brew a cup whether it’s the first cup or the next. So far I am very pleased and the price as compared to the much larger options is another huge plus. ... show more
