The main reason I bought these is to use them as a casual wear winter shoe. My old brown shoes were kaput. I am loathe to buy things made in China, but as they were on sale for $50 and similar USA made boots are in the $250 to $300 range, I figured it was good bang for the buck, assuming they fit. The leather is about 3mm thick, and the lining is very soft. I wear a 9D and they fit fine. There is room to wiggle my toes even with medium weight wool socks and a "Walkhero" foot bed. The OEM foot bed is OK, but I prefer an upgrade. The heel slips just a little, but I've only had them for 2 weeks so they are not well broken in yet. Shoe strings are way too long, unless you do some sort of fancy lacing that requires the length; cut mine to 35" and heat-shrink wrapped the cut end. Soles are an unusual reverse pattern, but they walk OK. (I'll put a new Vibram sole on if they last long enough to wear out the original). A dose of Obernauffs or Snoseal is recommended if you are wearing them in the wet. So far, they appear to be a good purchase. ... show more

I ordered the dark brown pair, but what I received was very tan, not dark brown at all. I ordered another pair and received the same type. Then I went to look at the descriptions. There are two dark browns. The ones I really want are labeled "dark brown", while the pair I clearly received is labeled "dark brown-20587" which are much more tan than dark brown. But no matter which one I ordered, I received the same tan pair. I think something is wrong with the system. However, the overall fit, while a tad large, is comfortable, and the boots seem durable over all. Style is just what I was looking for. I ended up with a pair of the black and a pair of the coffee. Just wish I could figure out how to get the dark brown I like! If you're looking for a good pair of boots for a decent price, try these. Just don't expect what you get to match the picture provided! ... show more

I’ve had these just at a month now. Very comfortable and was happy with purchase, yet these are already tearing at the laces. And I do not tie my shoes tight. Would spend the money elsewhere

Went a half size bigger than I needed and definitely didn’t need to. Absolutely perfect fit and super comfortable for all day wear right out of the box. Sharp enough for dress up cool enough for dress down. Definitely recommend and a fantastic daily wear shoe
