At first we used the pens that came with the set, until we searched on Amazon and found others. I bought and returned a few different kinds of pens, very unhappy with the ones we found and then found these. They are amazing! They are great for the price, come in cute colors and are very sturdy. They have two different lights, warm light and bright, they come with an attachable magnifier and non-slip pads and 2 wax organizers. Best thing about it is they are USB chargeable! I set up one pen with a single drill tip and one with a tip for several drills. Those tips are a pretty tight fit, so I don't think users will be swapping out tips too readily. There are clip-on small magnifiers for the pens--a cute idea but I found them kind of annoying in actual use (for me). I use the single drill tip the most--I was disappointed that the light burned out very quickly, and I see no way to replace it (or the battery). So the pens were not worth it to me--spend more to get lighted ones that are easy to replace. I also didn't bother using the wrist straps. The wax is great--a little goes a long way, and I like that they are in holders, rather than just between plastic sheets. The sticky gel mats are great--VERY sticky, though. I found that an entire one gripped my diamond painting trays too strongly, so I cut off a quarter-sized piece and I use that--just enough to hold the tray to the table but still easy to pick up when I'm done with the tray. When they loose their stickiness, just rinse them in the sink with maybe just a little soap and they still like new again. My favorite part of this set! ... show more

The pens are great. However, if I work for more than 10 minutes, the light dims a lot. At first I thought they were great until I recharged them a few times and now they do not recharge to their full brightness. It's like they are stuck on dim the entire time. I wish they would use batteries that I could change. The pen light is useless after a few charges. The only reason I am giving three stars is that they are very comfortable even without the light. ... show more
