  • A Lovely Low Priced Hard Case
Size: Electric
There are many things that make this case a great buy -- and that beyond its very reasonable price Construction quality is one. No, it is not rugged like the very expensive cases designed to protect a guitar from abuse during, say, airplane travel -- or for that matter being tossed into a van by a rushed roadie. But for general purpose protection and storage it should be just fine. It is attractive. Nice bold stitching on a leatherette covering. Chrome latches> The interior too look pretty fine. Plush. But what makes this case stand out is its size. It doesn't look or feel larger than other such cases, but in fact is larger in a key dimension than many. Sized just big enough to hold a Jazzmaster or Jaguar. Several guitarists I know have bought several. ... show more

  • Good for a student.
Size: Bass
Decent beginner case. Pros: 1) Protects your guitar from bumps, bends, or knocks. 2) Has a locking latch. 3) Has a small compartment for picks, cord, etc. 4) Lightweight 5) Fuzzy material on the inside is very soft and does not shed (no little black fibers all over your gear). Cons: 1) Very lightweight plastic and the coating easily scuffs off. Definitely not strong enough to withstand any weight on it without damaging the guitar. 2) Does not hold the guitar in place. There is enough extra space that the guitar can wiggle back and forth in the case knocking into the sides. The only place that holds the guitar is a very small divot next to the gear compartment that the neck rests in. 3) The gear compartment could be a lot larger or there could be additional compartments on the sides of the neck. There is a ton of wasted space and the compartment is barely large enough for a few picks, a fabric strap, and maybe a very short cord. Definitely not large enough to have a set of strings or wireless pack, etc. 4) Fasteners (hinges, handle, etc.) are very thin and cheap using small tin rivets. I would not trust the handle to hold very much weight. The lock is also flimsy and bends open if any pressure is applied to it. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Size: Electric
Ok so a few things. If you're going to buy a guitar case not specifically built for your guitar, then I think the one and only question you have out the gate is "can it fit my guitar". How people on here bought this thing without checking that first, is beyond me. But I digress. I have a Telecaster. The Squier version. I wanted a case that didn't cost more than my instrument. I came across this, saw the great reviews and was impressed immediately. When it came, it was packaged very well and I was actually surprised by the quality given the great price. It holds my guitar snug, and has because of my guitar's petite size, it has plenty of room for music, straps and anything else of similar size. This is probably the best deal you can get on a hard shell. Absolutely no complaints! ... show more

  • Pleasently Surprised
Size: Acoustic Dreadnought
I purchased an F335 Yamaha Acoustic from Goodwill and needed a case and since I"m on limited budget I am very concerned with price plus I don't like soft gig bags for taking my guitars to stage. I first met ChromaCast at Winter NAMM January 2019 so I kind of knew what I was buying prior to this purchase. For dragging a guitar to and from the clubs this is a great case if you're touring Regionally, Nationally or World I'd purchased a case that is better suited for traveling. This is a great case for storing at home or when going to the local clubs. I'd buy again. My Yamaha F335, Alvarez RD8SB and Ibanez PF all fit comfortable I included pictures of the Yamaha F335 in the case ... show more

  • Pretty awsome case for the price
Size: Electric
I was impressed with the construction of the case. The vinyl covering on the outside was firmly attached all the way around as well as the thick velour type material on the inside being attached just as well. I put both my Strat and my LP inside(not at the same time, of course) and each of them fit with room to spare. depth-wise, I couldn't say if a hollow body electric would fit since each of my electrics are solid body and they each take up most of the space with the case closed. There's a wood divider on the bottom half that goes under the neck and separates the bottom half of the case and creates two compartments with the case closed. The divider has a shallow space cut from it to cradle the neck, with a dense foam pad attached under the velour material where the neck rests. The inside of the top has a long foam pad running lengthwise under the velour lining which touches the whole neck when closed, holding the guitar snugly between top and bottom halves. There's a lidded compartment inside the case next to the neck to store a few small things like a set of strings, picks, capo, tuner, and other similar stuff. In addition, there's still room enough to wrap a blanket around the guitar if it happens to be a little small, or you just want it packed a little tighter. Still yet, there's also room on the other side of the neck for a few small, light things you could wrap a t-shirt around so they won't rattle around and damage the finish on the guitar. That leaves my only negative comment which is the lock. Every lock I've seen and operated on a guitar case is not worth the effort to lock which is why I won't subtract a star for the cheap lock on this case. It shouldn't be too hard to change it if you really want to. I don't use the locks. I use luggage straps to keep my cases closed when I travel. ... show more

  • A case of a great deal!
Size: Electric
i am primarily an acoustic guitarist, but I have a Vintage Summer of Love electric guitar that I use on some gigs. i have needed a case for it but have always put of buying one. Thankfully a friend pointed this one out to me. At the price i figured I couldn't lose; this offers quality well beyond the price. The guitar fits well, the case feels sturdy and secure, it is nicely balanced for carrying, and it looks professional. I wouldn't trust an airline with it, but it will be great for getting my guitar to gigs. ... show more
