These are a tight fit on my 3/4" fascia boards. I'm skeptical that they would fit on 7/8" boards. If you take them off, it chips the paint, so I plan to leave mine up year-round, and just clip the light wires in and out.

Good quality, strong plastic clips. There is little teeth like grippers on the inside so they have a good grip on whatever you use it on. We cannot use them on our gutters, due to we have a screens on them, but we can use them just about everywhere else. Very versatile, It even stayed tight on a pole we have in our yard. Showing in the pictures, it will attach to both wood railing and banisters and lattice as well as the aluminum railings and window shutters. We can now easily hang lights in places we could not before and with a lot less staples and broken wires, these a for sure a good value for the money. ... show more

I’ve been happy with these clips. We have them on our deck railing and they clip on easily and stay secure. The lights can either run through the center of the clip of go on the side of the bracket. We have them running through the center. The brackets are a little unsightly in the daytime but are unseen in the dark. These are a good alternative to using a staple gun or other fasteners. They easily remove and are ready for the next season. I do recommend these as they are easy to install, highly functional and are affordably priced. ... show more

These work nicely for hanging decorations along my house. I initially wanted to use them to secure an inflatable I have to the side of the house, but unfortunately they didn't work for that, but we were able to hang lights just fine.

I wanted to hook holiday lights on my gutters, and it was pending since last year. Lol!! I found this and wanted to give it a try. These plastic clips are really good in quality. There is little teeth like grippers on the inside so they have a good grip on whatever you use it on. I tried on my gutters but on the top, I decided not to use as it has little cover on it. on the bottom side though, it was opened, and I hooked the clips there. I would say it held lights perfectly and hooked with the gutters nicely as well. I am really happy to see those lights finally hanging to the front of my house. I leave my patio lights hanging year-round since I have lights where I can select different color options. I've been using plastic light clips since part of my patio is HOA controlled, and we're not supposed to drill, but sunlight, heat, etc has weakened some of my clips, and they were brittle and breaking (this will happen with all plastic). I got these to replace my old clips, and they work great. I needed them to fit on 1.5" beams, and the 1 5/8" size fits easily but snugly. One thing that should be noted is that both the groove for the wire and the side clip is very small. My patio lights have 3 braided wires, and they don't quite fit in all the way (I could put in one of the 3 wires and use the side clip, but I am using the groove at the bottom of the U). That doesn't bother me at all, but I know that could be an important consideration for some. ... show more
