This is a lot heavier than I expected since some of the reviews said it was very lightweight. This is actually a heavier quilted spread than I have ever purchased. It fit my bed pretty well just touching the floor on both sides. I expected this as my bed sits a little lower than some. I have washed it and it came out well but in the future will take it to the laundry to use a larger machine. Did not work well in my home washer. This is super soft and has some weight to it. I sleep so much better with a cover that is this soft and heavy. It feels like there is actually cotton batting inside and not polyester fill. Super nice and will definitely order another to change out for color next season.
