Overhang covers 11” mattress lying on a 9” frame to within 1 1/2” of floor on each side. Therefore, I do not consider it oversized for a king bedspread, maybe oversized for a coverlet. Lies flat and looks really nice on a king bed with a headboard and a footboard. Long enough (length) to have hang at foot and enough to fold over pillows at head. This bedspread is a well-made product. I love the intricate stitching on it. It does have a certain class to it. But the thing I personally don't care for, is the very long, long corners that I guess are meant to splay out all over the floor. It may be okay in a large room, although I've never liked that much splay, but in a small room, it's nothing more than a trip hazard! I do not care for that aspect of it. Plus, it has a scalloped edge all the way around the entire spread. I like a straight top, so it goes smoothly over the pillows. So for me, it has both pros and cons, but I agree it is an overall great quality spread. ... show more

This quilted, King- size, coverlet set was a holiday gift from my parents to my husband and I. It is the navy color. I must start by saying how beautifully deep the royal blue color is and how the color has remained after several washes. The material is super soft and light weight. Perfect for the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The 3 piece set has a quilted pattern for both the pillow cases and blanket. It really looks very expensive, which I love. I can easily through this in the washing machine and dryer and not have it shrink or compromise any of the fabric. I plan to purchase another color set for my guest room. There is a review that mentions it being thinner than a mattress pad. Not sure what kind of mattress pad they use because I think the weight is perfect. Yes in the winter you would want to add a blanket, but I don't know a bedspread you shouldn't add a blanket to. It will be a great weight be itself in warmer weather. Love this bedspread! The quality is great , it’s big enough for my cal king so it makes the bedroom very nice. Very soft. Haven’t washed it yet but expect it will wash nicely.
